Muso I had my whooping cough jab today and hardly felt anything so don't worry!

I had a sore arm for a few days but was otherwise ok after the whopping cough jab. Small price to pay to stop baby getting whooping cough.

I haven't had the GTT - are you supposed to? It's never been mentioned!

Slowlyfading - the GTT is only a routine test if you have 2 or more risk factors for gestational diabetes. In my case because I'm overweight and because my dad has type 2 diabetes. You should find a page in your notes from your booking in where they would have ticked any risk factors you might have. Apart from that they only do it if they suspect you may have GD from symptoms or the results of another blood test.

Thanks for confirming that - I don't have any risk factors so presumably that's why nothing has been mentioned :)

Vaccination complete with no fainting! :j

GTT results came back all normal as were all other tests and checks with MW. I'm measuring a little ahead of where they would expect based on last pregnancy but nothing to worry about. To be honest I don't hold much faith with their measuring techniques as every appointment with DD they would say "ooh this is going to be a big baby". Had to have growth scans and they always said it's a big baby. DD was 6lb 13oz and swamped by her newborn size clothes!

Yay for no fainting! And double yay for no GTT :D

Yeah don't trust the tape measure, or 'white snake of fear' as someone on babycentre referred to it as! At 25 weeks I measured 5 weeks ahead, continued to measure ahead until 30 weeks so had 2 additional growth scans etc, only for me to measure 2 weeks behind at 34 weeks and still be measuring 2 weeks behind at my 36 week appointment today! I swear they should just give up measuring unless you look/feel unduly big or small.

Good news from today's MW appointment - baby is no longer back to back! Woo! They were ROA at appointment after being LOP a few weeks ago, just hoping they don't decide turn again. Baby has also gone from being 'free' to 'brim', which is a very minor difference but is giving me encouragment that they might actually start to engage at some point!

Hope the rest of you are well - these due dates are creeping up on us! x

I do feel bigger than I did with DD but I also started showing a lot earlier this time, which I hear is quite normal for a 2nd pregnancy.

Yay for not being back to back and fingers crossed baby stays in place!:j

Saw midwife on Tuesday. I've gone from Free at 34 weeks to now 3/5 engaged at 36 weeks. She said the head is very very low. Still not heard from the SOM about arranging my vbac. So i've just told my midwife i'm going to have a home birth any way as I don't want to go in and be rail roaded into tons od intervention and then another CS. Howver she said they have a very low threshold for transferring me in so basically she doesn't seem confident either and she is on the home birth team. So I am meeting with 2 independant midwives next Thursday to discuss them working with me on a home Water VBAC.

Was offered a sweep but declined, I want to see if things start without help. Am scoffing pineapple and everyone is suggesting me and the husband get it on to start things off.
