I love the heat, but Wednesday was just ridiculous! I needed about 2 hours to recover when I got back from work, and that was including jumping straight in a cold shower!! Envious of your sleep though muso, it's just not been a very restful week for me...and I LOVE my sleep! Glad you're mostly sorted with everything too.

AFM it's my last day of work today!! Woo for mat leave! Not decided when I'll return yet, probably a maximum of 8 months but it'll have to be dictated by finances. Woo - so excited to finish! :D

Yay for maternity leave! I think it's important to try and cram in all of the things that you're not going to get a chance to do for a while once baby arrives. When waiting for DD I went to the cinema several times and week and visited lots of nice restaurants!

I'm self employed doing a completely flexible work from home job so I'll be keeping going until the last minute but I have just had my Maternity Allowance approved so that's a big weight of my shoulders.

I'm not a fan of the heat, it's making work really hard work. Also making my ankles and feet swell - anyone else find that?

35 weeks today though :) getting nearer!

Musogirl - which pram did you get?
Not suffering too badly in the heat but South Wales hasn't been too bad on the whole. Bit stuffy on Tuesday but slept ok

Claire - exciting to start mat leave. Have you got any plans?
I'm going off at 38 weeks which is 30th July. If baby come very late I will be bored stiff at home alone.

Had the terrifying realisation that baby is most definitely arriving next month. Argh!

No swollen ankles for me yet, but then I didn't get them before DD was born either. I did however get incredibly puffy feet and ankles immediately after she was born, and only noticed when I saw the cutting in marks left on my feet by my slippers in hospital!

pm04gm - we are getting an Uppababy Vista in the Lindsey beige colour. I've been visiting it at Kiddicare and John Lewis on a regular basis for some time now and am completely in love! Would have liked to get one of the more interesting colours but given how much it costs it seemed to make sense to get a colour that would be easy to sell on afterwards!

Went to a gig last night, absolutely shattered now. Must have walked for about an hour. Great night though, although my hips are paying for it now.

    28 weeks yesterday.

    Hi everyone!!

Well, we have our son!! Born Wednesday morning by emergency c-section.
Went into labour on Monday morning and finally (after lots of calls to the midwife centre) got admitted at half 11 on Tuesday night. My contractions were sometimes lasting up to 3 minutes but most of the time were really inconsistent. Got to the hospital and was examined and it turns out I was 8 cm dilated. I got to fully dilated and Logan had turned sideways so needed a section right away.

He's feeding like a good un!! Came home yesterday evening and he kept us up ALL night. Hopefully we'll be more prepared for tonight!!!
