How am I at number 4 on the list already??!!!

Im at 38 weeks now, the midwife said at my appointment earlier in the week that my son is trying to get into a back to back position. So I now have to do a load of hip wiggles on all fours and sit on dining table chairs rather than the sofa. So I'm not entirely sure how to keep the massive swelling in my feet down!

Knew my son would be trouble!!!!!

Hi nattykins, the list is dwindling fast isn't it! My LO is back to back, and has been since at least 25 weeks (I'm 34 weeks tomorrow). I have a desk based job so am desperately trying to sit upright and forwards, and all I want to do when I get home is slouch on the sofa! I pumped up the gym ball last weekend so hoping a bit of bouncing on that will help too.

I know that a lot of babies can turn during labour, but I don't think mine will want to engage as soon if they stay back to back, and to be honest the thought of going overdue makes me want to punch something!! Let me know if you find anything that works!

My midwife just said that sitting on a dining table chair is better than the sofa and to get on all fours and wiggle your hips. I've had a quick look online and some sites say gentle exercise can help and spending time standing up. Apparently leaning over a gym ball and wiggling your hips can help, I just don't have one to do that with!

    Congrats hippihaz!

I am so uncomfortable and grumpy today. I am sure baby is going to arrive driving some sort of scrapheap challenge vehicle, the amount of what feels like hammering and banging going on in there!

Had a bit of a to do with mum after mentioning I was going to buy new mattresses for the second hand cot and Moses basket we have. She decided it was a waste of money and silly to worry about such things, despite me explaining I had heard from a number of places that there were risks involved with second hand mattresses.
For my own peace of mind I don't mind spending a little on things like that. If I didn't and something bad happened I would never forgive myself just for the sake of not spending a few quid.
She also keeps telling me not to get pressured in to starting bottle feeding too soon, which in my hormonal state sounds a lot like pressuring me to breast feed as long as I can!

Oooh I hate being this grumpy and stroppy! Still got a good few weeks to go yet too, as people keep taking great pleasure in reminding me!
