I have no idea, I have heard of people doing it through the parenting classes run by the NHS but I haven't signed up for them so not sure if I can get a tour.

Ring up the maternity ward and find out! I know I can have a look round the other hospital (that I could be transferred to) if I book an appointment.

Just ordered a Tuppence and Crumble star wrap Been toing and froing for a bit and was going to wait to see gender but want one for using right away so went for the pea colour, which looks much nicer than the actual colour of peas lol !!

I haven't bought ANY baby toys - has anyone else? When do they start to play with toys? I don't want my baby to look deprived lol

Had my 36 week gp appt today. Turned out to be the dr I saw last year who I went in and asked to get blood tests done as was worrying about conceiving.

She looked it up on the computer and it turned out I saw her to discuss the results on June 2nd and my lmp was June 16th! She said 'we'll I must have that effect on people' and we laughed I can't believe how close together that was.

She didn't do the tape measure said she thinks it's a waste of time now and she also said she thinks the baby's head is engaged!! So when I got home and told DH that he was like omg and panicking it could come like today or something!

She said are you needing to go to the loo all the fine and I said yes so she said that's probably why. I mean I have for a while but now I think about it it probably has increased a bit recently.

Regarding dogs we don't have any pets but I'd be putting my foot down over a dog like that that bites people!!

If my DH said his nan wouldn't come in the house without the dog then I'd say well she's just going to have to put the baby before the dog like we are.

Same as my dhs grandad doesn't go anywhere without smoking. Well I won't be taking the baby to his house & if he doesn't come here in fresh clothing etc then that's his problem, he won't get to see her, I can't help it. Just because someone is elderly doesn't mean they can do what they like!

I think we are the most disorganised family preparing for a baby.

No pram ordered yet.

Cot but no materess.

No furniture.

A handful of clothes.

No bedding.

A few washable nappies.

Some freebies......starting to think I really should get organised.

1st stop order the pram at the weekend!
