  • Hi everyone, thank you for your lovely wedding wishes. It did all go off ok aside from my knee giving way and ending up in a heap on the floor before me and my dad had even left the hotel to go to the registry office! Still managed to get thru the ceremony, 2 hours of photos and then the complete reception incl dancing until 2am tho altho I'm not entirely sure how! My dad panicked and almost had me rushing up to the local a & e but as I landed on my bum and I'm used to it happening I managed to calm him down and everyone just thought I was waddling due to,being pregnant instead of an injury! Can anyone tell,me how to upload pics to show, you all?
I have one week left off work on holiday now,so,will hopefully be able to get all,the blinds and curtains sorted upstairs and then get furniture set up in baby's room so I can start washing ironing and putting away ready, only 10 weeks left until d day and that is going to seriously fly by!
How's everyone doing? Have we had anymore births recently? We have a 4d scan on thursday which I'm so excited about :) baby hasn't stopped moving for a few days so she must be getting huge now! Xxx

    Added myself to the list.

So no phone call from the hospital yesterday so it looks like I have escaped the diabetes this time around, I'm half happy that I can keep eating normally but half disappointed as they did look after me really well last time and I got loads of extra scans and consultant reviews etc when I had it with DD1 and also I suspect it stopped me from gaining too much weight !
  • Hi ladies, just a quick one from me. I think Boots have got a baby event on at the mo too as they've got water wipes for £1.50 a pack instead of the usual £2.50 so I've just ordered myself a few packs to collect from my local store. I know they say you're meant to use just cotton wool and water in the very early days but these wipes are meant to be just as gentle on baby's skin and more handy when you're out and about. Just thought it might be of interest!

Huge congratulations to Lottie on the birth of baby Noah! Love that name :) hope you're feeling well x

    good morning all,
    hope your all doing well.
I had my 31 week MW appointment yesterday and she was happy with everything, booked in for another 3 weeks’ time.
When I got home I started on Baby's hospital bag but realized that majority of clothing I’ve gotten is 0-3 months and that I need a few bits of newborn! So I’m going to order some basics offline today and then hopefully complete the bag over the weekend.
We haven't done anything to the baby's room/nursery. We are still completing building work downstairs and all the dining room furniture is being stored in there. But baby doesn't need it for quite a few months as it will be in our room so I’m not worried. That room has a walk in wardrobe which contains chest a drawers, shelves and rail so at least I’m set up in there ready for baby.
I’ve very nearly bought everything now. Though we haven't needed to buy much as I've received so many donations from family members. Most the things I’ve bought are consumables like nappies, shampoo etc., changing matt, some clothing, towels, muslins and blankets. Just need to get a new Moses basket mattress and some nursing nighties for myself.
My mum has bought us all the cot bedding from Mama's and Papas as a present and brought it over this weekend. Shame I've had to hide it away in my wardrobe as Cot won’t be going up for a while yet.
My in laws keep asking what else we need so they can buy us a present also but I keep telling them we haven't needed to get much so nothing at the moment they can help with. They would of loved to of helped us with getting a pram or cot but there is no point in buying brand new when I have good quality second hand ones from my sister.
Anyway, long post - hadn't meant to. Some great ideas coming from everyone that I keep noting down to remember, re clothing, baby sleeping downstairs to upstairs etc.
  • What a day!! Woke at around 5am feeling unwell, got up & went to the loo & was then quite sick. Tummy felt really tender & combined with a baby jumping round in there I was feeling pretty rubbish. Had my 31 week midwife appt 1st thing she told me to stay home & rest as if been sick again by this time & was still feeling rotten. All ok with my checks but baby had turned round to be breech. She said they don't worry about it until 36 weeks so plenty of time for baby to turn round.

I came home & curled up in the sofa, had a doze but felt freezing, went upstairs to put a bigger jumper in & switch the heating on, and then promptly fell down the stairs! I'm not quite sure how I did it, one leg was under me & I went down on my bum. Flung myself around trying to grab the banister to stop me falling but I didn't till I hit to the bottom. I burst into tears & went to sit in the lounge, suddenly felt ill again so had to dash to the loo. I phoned the doctors to see if my community midwife was still there but she'd left so I phoned the hospital. They said to come in to be checked over & to monitor the baby. I phoned hubby in work who panicked! Phoned me back & said his boss heard him on the phone & didn't even ask what was wrong just told him to go. I phoned my sister who picked me up to take me to the hospital, I only live about 5 mins away & we picked hubby up on the way from the train station. The stars were aligned!! We had to wait about an hour to be seen, they tgen put me on the monitor to trace baby's heartbeat, I'd been feeling it move tho & hadn't had a bleed or anything. All was fine on the trace, baby kept kicking the monitor so we kept having to move it back to record the heartbeat but it was very reassuring & they were happy everything was ok. I feel proper rubbish tho, still poorly from my bug & I'm feeling very battered from my fall! Curled up on the sofa under a blanket & hubby made me a hot water bottle. I still haven't eaten anything but I'm starting to think I might try something bland. Exhausted doesn't cover it! xx

Definitely been nesting today. Been working on de-fluffing velcro on nappies, patching and stitching up bits on DH's trousers (and adding a button back on to one pair), defrosting the freezer, and washing duvet covers. Might go upstairs and work on decluttering the spare bedroom a bit more, considering my mom lands on the 12th February and she will be using that room! Need to get her bed made up as well. 37 weeks 1 day today, and I'm already number 5 on the list, eek!

  • Oh bless you Kate, that sounds like a rubbish day! Glad baby's ok though and you're resting now. I remember when I had my fall a couple of weeks before Christmas I felt worst the next day in terms of aching (the panic is obviously worse at the time!) so make sure you take it easy tomorrow too. I bet Wills is looking after you now ;)

Mrs TM - I make you 4th on the list as Estate Princess has had her baby (announced on the FB group) so even higher!
  • :( Oh poor you Kate, sounds like a really horrible day :( Hope you feel better soon.

Had my 28week appt today, all fine, just counting down now!

Who do I speak to about joining the FB group?

Hope everyone else is well xx
