Congratulations Lannie Duck! Bit of a dramatic entrance but hopefully that's the dramatics over and done with now!
Just a little update from me: Still at home as contractions aren't regular or strong enough yet.Spoke to the nicest woman ever at the hospital who told me to go in at 3 if nothing super exciting has happened by then as they'll get things sped up for me.

Hi all, been a bit AWOL lately but, have just read back a couple of pages!
Good luck to birdie and a huge congratulations to lannie, it all sounds very dramatic, I hope you are both enjoying getting to know each other!
Hope everyone else is ok.
Re maternity leave, I'm finishing at 37 weeks but I'm ready to finish now lol! Getting quite tired by mid afternoon at work.

Congratulations Lannie, and good luck Birdie.
With regards to finishing with DS1 I finished at 36weeks taking to weeks annual leave with maternity leave starting after. DS1 arrived 38+1 so glad i had the annual leave or would not have been impressed. I only work pt now and we are being made redundant end of March and SMP kicks in end of April so we have decided for me not to look for something else as it would only be for about 8weeks anyway.
Loving the hospital bag tips I was completely useless last time and had to send home for extra knickers and a towel.:-/Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. I am going off at 34 weeks - reason being that I have to take two weeks holiday as its from the old entitlement and it has to be used before I leave on Maternity Leave.
I will be 36 weeks when I go on offical maternity leave and it feels too early but I am sure I will be greatful I am already tired if I have been at work and will give me a chance to get stuff sorted in our house. DS is also on Easter when I am on the leave section so that will be nice to spend the time with him.
Does anyone get out of breathe sometimes? I have the added issue with the circulation with my legs but seriously if I walk up the stairs I am huffing and puffing.
Took to the scales this afternoon as well. I have so far gained and its gone to my bottom I am sure of that! I feel like I have a real 'booty' now lol.

Yes I've been out of breath before. I read the baby pushes on your diaphragm.0

I'm starting my leave at 35wks, with the babies due at 38wks. I'm not feeling uncomfortable yet so have said I'm happy to do some extra short days in wk36 as I'd rather have time off at the end/ money paid out for extra hours.
I've had some shortness of breath, I imagine my lungs have been squashed to the size of kiwi fruits!0
