Ooh Birdie how exciting! Fingers crossed for a quick and safe delivery :T
I think the insomnia has kicked back in for me, am 35 weeks now. Only one more week at work then 3 weeks annual leave, then maternity. I always said I'd think about labour after I started maternity leave, now it's so close I think I'm starting to get a bit scared. Possibly another reason I can't sleep! Still milk and cookies are helping...0 -
Birdie hope little man is (or is very nearly here!!) xx
Hope everyone is okwe celebrated DHs birthday yesterday as baby is due on his actual birthday (so we might get to celebrate again!) Having a lovely weekend.

A quick note to let you know that my little daughter was born Tuesday 18th Feb at 36+1 by emergency c-section following a burst appendix (mine, not hers!). I'll do a proper write up later, but this is only my second day home from hospital and we have the community midwives coming soon.
Hope everyone here's been keeping well, and hope to read back over pages of birth announcements later this afternoonMortgage when started: £330,995

Good luck Birdie, look forward to more news later
On the subject of maternity leave I was pretty much forced to finish at 33+2 due to the way our company leave policy works. I love my job but it's super stressful so I think finishing earlier has done me the world of good. Saying that though I do have moving house to distract me for a bit... I'll probably be climbing the walls by 39 weeks!
Edited to add: Congrats to LannieDuck but ouch! Hope you're recovering wellTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -

Eeek congrats Lannyduck! Sounds scary but hope you are both recovering well!
SamToby thanks for updating the lists as ever! It is scary how fast they move. I'm sure I started in the mid thirties and now at no 9! No 7 once smartcat and birdie update!!!
I've been and got fitted for my first nursing bra at mothercare this morning. I'm measuring at a 40 G/H. Seeing as I started off at a 34H I haven't changed in cup size but boy have I expanded!!
I've actually bought a 38g padded nursing bra (a pretty blooming marvellous one) as it was a much better fit than some if the other ranges and wow it's comfy!!!
At £18 it wasn't too expensive (compared to some I've seen) but I'll have to get a couple of others too. Pleased I've finally got one though!!0 -
Congratulations Lannieduck, and thinking of you Birdie!
Re: maternity leave, I'm starting just before 37 weeks, I think - planning to shut down operations on May 1st. It's slightly different for me as I'm a freelancer, so while I don't plan on writing/editing anything after that date, I'll probably still be checking in on emails and sales when I have five minutes spare.Team Pink! Baby girl due 25/5/140
