Brilliant birdie hopefully things will happen naturally now!
Yes My eye mask is already packed, it's really too light in hospitals for sleeping well with all the lights in the corridors on 24/7.
Need to pack a towel and dressing gown.0 -
Lush- from experience, if you can take at least an extra week off before the birth, do so! I wish I'd finished at 36 weeks instead of 37 as it is, it was just so uncomfortable being sat at my desk all day that late into pregnancy. I felt loads better at home which I'm sure has helped me stay mobile and generally feeling well, which in turn has helped me deal with being overdue.
My Dad saw me yesterday and was amazed by how well I look and move about even now.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Guys, also take paracetamol as I had terrible PGP pain, stitches pain and then the labour after pains (which not many get with their first and were very nasty). I was given paracetamol when they did the rounds but nothing after and it was a long night. Plus snacks for if the hospital food is bad.
I had to leave the hospital in a t-shirt as I arrived in my dressing gown so didn't have a coat with me.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

Totally agree - having finished yesterday at 37 wks, I wish I'd finished a week earlier too. Although I didnt do much in the last week, I was tired all the time - it's hit me a bit more today now Ive stopped as I feel quite zombified and just lying on the sofa!! So glad I can just do as I please now and rest when I need to.
I have plans to go into town on Tuesday and do a bit of last minute shopping - but it will definitely involve lots of cafe breaks where I can sit down and have a rest!!The rest of the week, apart from cleaning will involve me becoming very well acquainted with the bed and sofa! :rotfl:

Thanks Birdie and squ1rrel5, definitely going to mention it to my manager on Monday - doesn't make much sense them paying me to sit there and do not a lot when I could be 'on holiday' plus could get a couple of extra 'dates' in with bf (by dates I mean me dragging him somewhere end route to extra training sessions :-P )
We're trying him at a Tuesday night session over towards Manc rather than our teams Wednesday night session as its quicker to get to/from and he's not going to the Wednesday sessions after the next couple of weeks because of how late they are (7-10.30pm whilst this other session is 6.30/7-9pm so would be getting home at the time the other finishes)
Will be able to use it to prepare the house that little more too so get the dog groomed etc, some meals made and in the freezer/some meals prepped in the freezer (e.g. everything chopped and bagged ready to go)
Kynthia, thanks for the reminder! Have stayed off paracetamol as much as possible whilst pregnant (only taken it 3/4times - no particular reason other than wanting a different solution) but from experience will take some in case I do have to stay in/for bf/visitors who get headache etc************************************

I would defo say finish earlier! I went to half term (being a teacher it made sense) which made me 38+2. I was totally ready to finish at 36 weeks, but I did make it to the end somehow!
I'm glad I did in a way, as I'm not even due til Weds but being at home I'm stressing about every tiny little thing...
I've hovered every day for a week, taken the curtains down and washed them, cleaned the bathroom everyday, put the isofix base in and out of the car to check I can do it, done I don't even know how much washing.... I just can't stop myself!!!
Then every time I get a little bit of a twinge I panic that this is it and baby is going to come, and there's always a job unfinished.... argh!!!
at least at work I didn't have time to think about anything else and I was soooo tired I slept really well!First date 10.2.2002

I can't wit to finish work, lol. Another 11 weeks to go and that's me finishing at 37 weeks.
It would seem that the third trimester crazy hormones have started here-I have been really grumpy and weepy all week-I'm ok at work, but as soon as I look at OH I get annoyed! I really need to pull myself together!0 -
What date are you due to finish Mrs happy? Think I'm going for 7th May (if that's a thurs) I remember from previous pregnancies how hard it is at the end and with dd 1 I was induced 2 weeks early and didn't have any time at home o n ny own...0

Friday the 9th May sophiasmum. I had been thinking of the following week, but I have been told that I will not be allowed to go to 40 weeks, so thought I would play it safe. I've started to reduce my client contact already at work, which is very strange. Not sure how I will manage driving-I'm a wee shorty, so there isn't much space between bump and steering wheel already, I'm pretty sure I was driving right up til the end last time and I was humungous then!0
