Sam my hair went really nice, only had to wash it every 3 days for ages.

Then a couple of weeks ago, it went all flat at the top again as well as my spots coming back. Not impressed!

Just realised I haven't had a letter in reg a 36 week scan I'm supposed to get and I'm almost 35 weeks ? Do you think if I call the hospital they will have the date down?

In other news I got my wallpaper done the last two days and it's looking lovely ( I say I, we had someone in to do it as we're hopeless) just carpet to choose now.

Didn't get carseat the other day, they said they will call me when it's ready.. not to worry though still got a while yet. When do people usually pick their prams up? I'm getting some painful kicks tonight, think baby is in a huff with me for having a late dinner lol.

We picked up our pram on the 2nd Feb for baby due on the 26th, but it is at my Mum's until baby makes an appearance. My Nanny is soooo superstitious she wouldn't have spoken to me if we'd had it here!!!

The only real reason I picked it up then was because it's a 40 odd mile round trip and I wanted to get the car seat, so it seemed silly to go all the way back to get the pram at a later date. (Plus all the early babies on here were getting to me! ;))

Snap! I was loving my pregnancy hair, finally had a bit of body and just the right about of shine. Now it seems to have gone very dry and flat :( going to get mil to cut it when bf is away early March to freshen it up, not had it cut since probably September if not before! Had my highlights done early December so will get her to freshen those a little, cut my fringe back in and trim the length plus put some layers back in :-)

With regards to food/eating bf brought it up with a few of the midwives as he was worried and wanted to check what I was eating was enough of the right stuff. I was advised to up my milk and cheese and 'common carbs' (pasta, potatoes etc) just to make sure I was getting enough but I ended up eating little and often due to heartburn and I often forget to eat (or say 'oh I'll eat at .... ' and then miss it so wait until the next break/meal) but I've been like that for years.

It's much easier now I'm in planning/routine mode as I know what I have to eat in the day and roughly when to keep my intake up and regular.

Apparently baby is long and lean but I'm convinced if I eat any more she'll be a chunk haha

Baby is getting more and more active, think she's trying to kick/dig her way out through my stomach. Thinking of her being so active is making me excited for when she's here as I know I can get out and about with her a bit but knowing my luck she'll be a dreamer and constantly asleep once here!

So much for 10 days over being the magic number! Still hanging on here! :wall: At least I feel a little more chipper this morning, just accepting that this baby won't be here until Monday. It's my Mum's birthday today so she's and my Dad are coming through and we're going out for lunch. :) OH can sort himself out; he was still grumpy when he got home from work claiming that it had taken him until 6.30 to calm down from my mood... dude seriously needs to pull himself together! I didn't even apologise because that attitude is his problem, not mine! I could have had a *much* worse pregnancy, yet he thinks he's got it hard because I have one down day that I feel I was perfectly entitled to! :p

My pregnancy hair has been really weird! It's already pretty thick with a little suppressed wave but now it's super thick (but uncontrollable!) and curly! :o My hairdresser, who usually waxes lyrical about how lovely my hair is, was really confused by the odd texture that it is now! I'm not missing the hair loss but dreading it all coming out in clumps once the baby's here! :o

Yeah I'm planning on getting my hair cut next week having had it done for months, I really am disappointed how it's lost the bounciness already!

I doubt I eat enough of the right stuff but really who does, I think as long as you eat what you can and like you say stuff like heart burn etc can amend your normal diet, you'll be fine as long as you are eating regularly.

Birdie I've had 3 friends all go into labour 1 day before their induction dates.

    Ha ha that's funny becs!

If I'm in for more than 1 night I'd be wanting my hair straighteners cos my hair is awful without it! I won't be bringing them with me though.

My friend was straightening hers during contractions before leaving the house!

I did initially pack my straighteners but ended up getting annoyed with having to keep taking them out of my bag to use then pack them again that I've just left them out! :o Have got lots of hair bands and clips though, and some make-up! Never would have occurred to me to have an impromptu wax whilst drugged up though! :rotfl:

Went to the drop-in this morning and the MW tried and failed to do another sweep, says the baby's head is so far down she couldn't reach around it! :o She said that once I start I should progress well which is good news... I just need to start! :p

  • Lol Becxxx when you first mentioned wax strips I thought you meant for birth partner to give you a tidy up down there:rotfl:

Birdie- you must be going demented by now! :( I suppose the only good thing is he has to come out sometime in the next few days. Hope it all goes quickly and smoothly once he does decide to put in an appearance. I'm sure he will be worth waiting for :)

Con1888 - I would def chase up your scan appt. you should have received something by now.

AFM - I got my hair cut last week and thinned out at the same time cos it is really thick at the best of times. Now it seems to have gone really dry and a bit frizzy. Think I will straighten it the night before I go in to hospital. Will take some make up too although I orobs won't be @rsed to put it on.

DD1 has been watching DD2 for me this morning so I am still lazing in bed. It's such a treat. Don't want to get up but probably should now. :)

  • Fingers crossed baby comes soon for you Birdie! - Had forgotten how horrible the waiting game was in my previous pregnancy, until you reminded me!!

Im 26 weeks today and sooooo tired. Id say the last 5-7 days have been a real effort. On the good news front - my sleeping has improved if you don't count the 3 toilet trips.
Starting to think about what I need to get (don't want to spend loads!) and baby names = exciting!
