Sorry ladies... I'm usually away because I'm sulking and/or off on a walk trying to get the little sod to move! :p

    Congratulations Kynthia :)

Baby Bird - come and say hello....we are all waiting to meet you especially your Mum.

I had a nice day with DS who came with me to the MW and heard the baby's heartbeat so now the baby goes ..."thump, thump, thump"... when you ask him about it :) Baby is no longer back to back which is good news but not engaged yet apparently second babies can engage right at the last min?!?

We got treated to a fancy meal tonight which was lovely (I'm super stuffed) but sods law I started to leak milk just as we left! cue frantic running around for the breast pads.

I'm off to bed and hope everyone is ok.
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Hope the grumps don't stick around too long Becca. The waiting really does suck though! :o

There seemed to be a little run of ladies going 10 days over a while back so I wonder if 10 is indeed the magic number and Baby Bird will come today??? Doubt it, but I've got nothing else to do other than wait and hope... :o

    Hurry up baby Birdie x
  • Oh Birdie I do hope you get to meet your little one soon!

Mw yesterday went well; had a first year student in with her but was ok with that as this was the first student midwife we've met who was nice and actually attentive! She was super gentle though when trying to find baby's position so I was pointing little things out.

Not engaged yet but apparently when I feel like I'm carrying an egg down there that's her trying to push down. I thought it was but others said I was crazy. My blood pressure really is just doing its own thing as well. Measured a cm small and was told I have such a 'lovely little neat bump' which I think is a joke as I think I look massive. The rugby lot think I'm looking a good size too (in a nice way) so I wonder if its a thing to do with those who know what I looked like post weight loss before baby...and maybe I did look a lot smaller than I though pre pregnancy!

Next appointment in two weeks is at home to put our birthplan down more formally. That's an incentive to do all the little jobs I've been avoiding! Also need to find the community health visitors number and call her up to rearrange her coming to the house - I keep forgetting and now appear to have misplaced her letter.

All the talk of my bump size etc made bf question whether or not I'm eating enough. The problem is I graze at work which he doesn't see...he doesn't see me eat breakfast either then at tea time he thinks I'm having too little. Its really annoyed/upset him as he was worried about similar things when I was losing weight. I have promised to eat more (but better too) for the next few weeks. I am finding that easier already though with having the new oven. That sounds like an excuse considering we have had our combi the whole time but now I can make stuff like scampi and proper wedges etc...plus I think everything comes out nicer ...imo

    Scary times for us!!!

Stuff with our house is moving so quickly too, wasn't expecting everything to start moving forward for another couple of weeks but we are going in tomorrow to sign contracts.....

I remember when I signed the contract to buy my place in 2010, scary stuff!

Especially when I had to transfer all the deposit money!

I know!! I'm effectively going to spend twenty grand later today...pretty scary!

Just been to my doctors. Saw a new one who was really lovely. He gave me another weeks worth of my anti vertigo medication and has signed me off for a further two weeks, giving me strict instructions to 'take a break' and go easy on myself. I just find it impossible to lay about doing nothing!!! I'm my own worst enemy! Texted my bosses boss to tell her (my boss is off for half term week). She was spectacularly, but predictably, unsympathetic. She is of the opinion that her worker ants should all just be little machines and never get sick or have any time off. A real lovely lady!!! Grrrr.
