Just realised I haven't had a letter in reg a 36 week scan I'm supposed to get and I'm almost 35 weeks ? Do you think if I call the hospital they will have the date down?
My hair is only just getting back to my usual kind of length as I had it cut at the start of pregnancy to stop it getting in the way when being sick. The only change I've noticed is that it seems to be straighter than usual which is strange as I usually find it goes more curly when it is shorter.
Got my birth pack yesterday which is a relief as it means I'm now fine to have a homebirth from Saturday. Also got my Bounty and Emma's Diary packs which seemed to be much better on the free stuff front than they were last time. Just need to press gang DH into getting the birth pool ready and getting the baby clothes down from the loft and I think we'll be completely ready. (Or at least as completely ready as it is ever possible to be.)0 -
Woweeee what a productive morning.
I have dusted, hoovered and wiped down ours and DS bedrooms, decobwebbed the hall and those rooms and given the bathroom a spring clean!
I also am on my 2nd load of washing for the day and I have been and done off jobs in town.
Just about to drop DS at his Dads for the weekend which can mean I am entitled one one thing.
Sleep. Lol. I am absolutely shattered!
Dogs must be too as they are asleep!
Re:Hair and straighteners.....
I will just shove my hair up as it's so long and thick it takes about 45 minutes to dry and straighten.
If I have to wash it I will just pin it up.
I am going to pack mascara just in case I don't feel awake without it!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Will call the hospital when I get out my bath reg scan. Maybe I've not to get one but my MW said I have.. Growth scan she said.
Excited to get the carpet picked and fitted so that I can sort the room. Stumped on which curtains to get ATM I need quite bold colourful ones as have done 3 walls antique white. Very clean looking but need to be careful it doesn't look bare... With the feature wall being busy though it should be okay. Not at all sure which colour carpet to go for was thinking a biscuity/dark sand ? Our furniture is oak... I'd love to go a light color but not practical with baby who will become toddler then child and ideally the carpet will last years .
Hope things kick off soon birdie!!0 -
Oh and as for hair mine hasn't changed much it's always been thick but it is stronger than before as not as much coming out when I brush it. I joked to my hairdresser that when I go into labour I want her to come do me French plaits lol. I've really long hair... Will likely be shoving it up in a messy top knot to keep it out the way and just bringing dry shampoo in hospital bag as it takes forever to dry so unless I'm in for days i don't want to wash it0

Con were you still considering the Dunelm safari curtains? Mine are finally up and look fab, but took Mum ages to take up because they weren't very well lined up when they were originally made. I'll hopefully get some photo's up on the facebook page later, as the room is sooo close to being finished!First date 10.2.2002

I bought spares of all my make up so I've got that packed in my bag so I don't need to use my normal stuff, it's all ready to go! I don't go anywhere without make up on it's the one thing I will not be forgetting lol! I don't need tons of lipstick or anything just hate my skin without it.
I guess if baby came as a surprise and I hadn't washed my hair for a couple of days I'd probably pack them incase I had to wash my hair there but really want to avoid doing that in hospital! I have bought new flip flops incase I had to have a shower. Need to pack a towel for that incase.
My friend has given me some arnica said she thought it worked well for her and she had stitches.
Feel so tired this afternoon!0 -

I'm still thinking of them but not 100% sure they will go with my feature wall or clash. Went to our local store on Wednesday but they didn't have any in stock for me to get a proper look, would love to see a pic ! :T0 -
Oooh well that's me done at work for 10 months!! How weird does this feel!! Hopefully have a couple of weeks to put my feet up!
Also had my 37 week mw appt... All fine and baby on her way down. Had to feel much lower down into my pelvis to find the head.
Been booked in for another appt at 39+5 if baby not made an appearance. As well as offering a sweep apparently our local midwifes offer a holistic treatment to try and encourage a natural labour so at 40 weeks they offer you a foot massage with reflexology an aromatherapy!! I'm not sure if it works but if I get that far I'm not going to turn that down! Much nicer than the sweep!!!0 -
Hi ladies,
Today I would have been due if little man didn't appear 3 weeks ago! Feels weird knowing this date will no longer mean anything (long shot anyway that he would have come today). For the last 8 months I had been working towards 21st February, good news though that Charlie has gained 3 ounces and we have both been discharged from midwife care to the health visitor whooo!
Birdie I hope your little man will arrive this weekend for you, must be horrible waiting. X x xProud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Hurrah for finishing work Squirrel! :T I want to live in your area knowing that you get foot rubs to encourage labour! All I get is a hand up my hoo-hah!
Con, if I were you I'd choose a solid colour curtain in one of the colours from the wallpaper. Looks less busy and won't distract from the feature wall.
I'm feeling pretty good today... I think accepting that I have to go in for the induction on Sunday has stopped me from dwelling on the fact that he's not coming on his own. Still scared of the induction though, will be in a right tizz on Sunday morning!
I'm also feeling quite well looked after as my parents took me out for lunch then MIL came around with a bag full of chocolate (Buttons, 2 types of cake, hot chocolate, Cadbury's Egg n' Spoon and a bag of marshmallows) and a craft mag.
Glad Charlie's doing well MrsBunny!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
