Ah - Im Thursday the 8th then (I don't work Fridays) Am going to take a couple of weeks hol and then go on maternity leave on the Monday of my due week. Think we have the same due date so was interested
Ill def be ready to go by then - as Im ready to leave now!!!
So tired - don't remember that this early last time - though I suppose I am 5 years older!!0 -
I am on half term this week, officially start mat leave on Sunday (stupid rule says it has to start and finish on a Sunday) baby's due on Weds.
Definitely the way to go, taking holiday first.

Wedding 9.4.2012
Baby #1 due 26.2.2014 :j0 -
Not sure whether I'll get much sleep tonight. Hubby and I are swapping sides of the bed! Will be weird!
I'm currently near the window with not much gap at the side (I was here because the other side is nearest the door and hubby leaves for work so much earlier than me) but that's the side with all the space, hence where the moses basket will go!
We always have a 'side' of the bed wherever we sleep so will seem so strange!!
Coincidentally, our Ewan the Dream Sheep arrived today. Perhaps I'll see if he works on me!0 -

I'm really tired this time too, but it has been 17 years since the last time!I am on half term this week, officially start mat leave on Sunday (stupid rule says it has to start and finish on a Sunday) baby's due on Weds.Definitely the way to go, taking holiday first.
Yeah, I noticed that when I was filling in my paperwork, so although I finish on Friday 9th mat leave starts on Sunday 11th May.Not sure whether I'll get much sleep tonight. Hubby and I are swapping sides of the bed! Will be weird!

I'm thinking about suggesting a side change with OH for the same reason- we have a very strange issue with our bed-it moves nearer the wall on my side leaving me hardly any space no matter how often we move it back to give a proper space, it's very strange!0 -
I'm glad I finished early, I'm 35 weeks now - well 36 tomorrow with their dating, and I've been on holiday the past week and start mat leave on Monday.
One of my nct ladies worked til 38 weeks and her baby came 2 weeks early. She had 1 evening of mat leave before her waters broke! So I didn't want that happening!0 -
We haven't got room for the crib on either side unless it goes right in front of the radiator, so it's going at the end of the bed instead. It's there now but not on its stand so I get used to walking round it to go to the loo!!! It would be weird swapping sides now!!!First date 10.2.2002

Birdie how exciting that you've got your show!! I hope things start/are already happening now!!!
I'm starting my mat leave on the 2nd May when I will be 37 weeks, I'm a little nervous about starting it so close to my due date BUT I would much rather have the extra time at the end if it means being tired and fed up at work for a week or two. Having said that I'm only 27 weeks and already tired and fed up!!
Today is the first day I've actually felt like a decrepit humongous pregnant lady. We went round the shops to get some house bits and food shopping etc and about halfway through the day my feet started hurting. By the time we got back in the car eventually, to go home, I could barely feel my feet and legs and now they are in so much pain I could cryI don't think they're swollen or anything, just in SERIOUS pain
I'm hoping I haven't damaged them somehow!!
There goes yoga tomorrow morning!!
On a more positive note we got some really good bargains for the new house today so that's really exciting, and I managed to sit and make a lovely lemon cheesecake just now so that's going to chill in the fridge tonight before I top it with yummy fresh blueberries and raspberries as a treat for me and OH tomorrow
I also relented and ordered a pink lining changing bag as I'd noticed on the grabbit board they were half price so that should be arriving any day now.....naughty me!!!!Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Hi everyone
Birdie, I hope baby is on its way for you!
I am soo tired and achy!!! Turns out I'm slightly low on iron so am trying to remember to take Spatone - would have been useful to have known straight when the blood tests came back rather than MW telling me.
I'm 39 weeks on Monday and am ready to meet baby now. The house may not be ready, nor the boxes full of baby stuff unpacked but I am totally ready to have my body back, even if it will be a sore and sleep deprived one!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Thank you to everyone feeding back about starting maternity leave earlier - pretty sure now it would be better to take that extra week. I'll use 5 annual leave so still get a whole wage in March and still won't have to worry as much about money once my leave actually begins (although knowing me I will) and I'll have less annual leave to have to fit in after I go back :-)
Enjoyed the party this evening and got introduced to a couple of great mums; one who's third just turned five weeks old (gorgeous baby girl!) And another expecting her second who knows a lot of the new parent groups and is going to add me on Facebook so extra nice :-)************************************

I clearly have the most awkward little man inside me! He just wasn't happy with me being induced this afternoon so I'm now awake and having contractions! Still irregular but have ramped up from 'Hmmm, I wonder if this is a contraction' to 'Ouch, yes this definitely hurts!'. Just running a bath now to wait it out in.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
