  • Delurking as have just come back from the hospital where we were most relieved to get (in writing!) that they'll start eviction procedures on the bump at 38 weeks. Had a bit of a rough few weeks with pre-eclampsia, large fibroids and now diabetes so not sorry that we're shaving a couple of weeks off the process! They've yet to decide how we'll deliver, but am just glad we'll be done a little sooner than we thought.

As a word of recommendation for anyone having a glucose tolerance test - in the 2 hour wait between the blood tests, go and walk around the block a couple of times. I was dead borderline, but no-one mentioned to do a bit of light exercise, and I've found since that it can help sugar levels (and may save you the tedium of 4 times daily blood tests! :)).

  • Congrats Northern78 - I've added Erin & Isla to the list of new babes now :)

Welcome fuzzipeg, sorry to hear you've been suffering.

Hope you're bearing up too mr_knight.

Sorry to hear about your father in law b-girl - hope the long journey goes ok next week. A few people have asked me if I'm still driving, but generally the longest journey I do is the 15 minute drive to pregnancy Pilates!

Which pram did you go for Nicky Noo Na? You've got some great bargains there on baby stuff - well done!:money:

I think we have all the essentials now, except a feeding pillow and other bits that are easy to get from the supermarket. Our little home is full of giant boxes though! Need a good sort out to try to find some room for all the baby things. Still looking for a bigger house, but nothing on the market, so it'll be sometime next year (hopefully) we move.

7 days left at work and counting. Either today or tomorrow should be the worst of it - I'm not exactly on wind down!

  • Hello all fed up with pelvic n back pain had final midwife appointment yesterday will be 38weeks tomorrow and baby is 3/5 engaged n I have a small pelvis hence the pain. Ds1 never did get that far he was transverse throughout still as laid back at 4yrs old!!

Hospital next week and c section date in site.

Had hair cut this morning great cut New hairdresser local to where I live has a home salon but must smoke as brought the smell away with me so all washed n changed n sadly won't go back because of the smoke.

Going to meet husband for lunch soon and he has half day as got ds parents evening after school.
  • Sorry to hear about the pain freebie but sounds like the end is in sight!

We went for the uppababy vista pram package in the end, was debating it for a while but kept coming back to that one. Got it in a good deal with the be safe izi go car seat and isofix base. Still not 100% sure but deposit is down! Too much choice out there!

After my lovely 3 day weekend I just about managed yesterday in work but felt rough all day and now off for a couple of days with some sort of virus. Sore throat, headache, cough etc feeling bleugh! Trying not to take any medication just lots of rest and the odd throat sweet. At least baby is fine, lots of wriggles and bigger movements today rather than the little taps/kicks I'm used to!

Not much time to post but we ordered this one and we are picking it up in a week or so. We went for the green one. I can't wait to try it out. We also went for the Izi car seat :)

34 weeks today- These last few weeks have flown by. Still counting down for maternity leave. Have midwife next week so may speak to her about an earlier finish. I'd love to be done by next week. I barely sleep and have developed pregnancy snoring much to my OH's delight..........at least we both have broken sleep now and he knows what it feels like.

Freebie....hope the pain subsides a bit or that you can at least get comfortable.

Hello to everyone else sorry to not reply individually- will step this up on maternity leave, hope you are all doing ok
  • Yey, must be a good pram and car seat decision then! We've gone for the navy blue. Originally wanted a black pram but can't get it with the silver frame which I preferred. I really liked the green but hubby wasn't keen. We don't know baby's gender but navy blue should work for both, obvs OK for boy and been told it goes really nice with baby pink girls clothes. We should get it by the end of the month, hurrah!
  • Pram decisions are so exciting. I still love my pram from last time.

I agree freebie the pain is miserable. It's not the intensity but more the consistency that's getting me down. Mind you think oh doesn't always help. This afternoon he took lo out, I pegged washing out changed two beds, made pie for tea, tidied lo's bedroom and put a huge pile of washing away. Result I am in more pain than I was. Maybe I am over sensitive but he's just criticised how messy our bedroom is. Well I have done my best. Grrrr lol. I had a nice morning with my lo making Xmas cards, anything where I can sit with my feet up :) watched toy story aswell.

I have also got work asking me to do work from home. Feel guilty but I don't really want to.

Hope you feel better Nicky. It's that time of year for bugs.

    Nice lunch freebie?
