  • Hello :hello: it has been quiet on here!

I've been reading but have been up to my neck in VAT returns so not much time for posting.

How is everyone? I am currently being kicked/punched just under my right ribs if I don't sit up straight at my desk! Bean must have heard my Mum & OH telling me off for slouching!

Hello Mrs_T_M and Sulphate lovely to see more familiar names although I would like a few more to be in front of me, No 20 doesn't seem far enough down the list especially when most of you are due by the end of December!

    Hello big-bellied ladies :rotfl:

Hope labour watch is going ok Angela84 and you're comfortable.

    How's your backache been freebiequennie?

I agree Estateprincess - the due date list is very short!

Nicky Noo Na, I can relate to the difficulty of getting baby gear in the car. We asked in the shop which travel systems took up the least room, as we'll have to store it permanently in my car (no room in our little home) and have the Mothercare Orb. We assembled it last night, and although it comes apart into two pieces, only one fits in the boot of my Fiesta - the other will have to go on the back seat. I can see why parents buy big cars! We've been waiting for someone to have a special offer on the car seat base; all the shops are selling it for the same price, but we ordered it tonight with a £10 off £100 spend at mothercare coupon. If anyone's interested, if you sign up to the mothercare club online the give you a few vouchers to use. Hopefully that's all the big purchases done now, but we still have a lot of small things to get.

    Morning all!!

Hope you are all well and those babies are behaving.

Well that's it, D Day has arrived!! I'm booked in for a c section today. I'm the first delivery of the afternoon. Midwife said baby should be here for about 2pm.

This will be my second c section, first was an emergency though. I'm so nervous, some of it due to the op, some due to excitement of meeting him or her and some due to having be away from my DS.

Got to be at the hospital for 12 so frantically finishing packing my bag and packing for DS, he's at my parents tonight.

Hope all you ladies who are on labour watch have a safe one!

    Birth announcement!

    Erin arrived 4th November, 6.40am, weighing 7.11.
I started timing contractions from 2.40am, midwife arrived around 3.40, I was 5cm, so just carried on labouring on my bed, second midwife arrived about 6.30, and with a big push for her head, and a big push for her shoulders, here she was!
My 3 boys had woken up and we're watching a film downstairs, was lovely to hear them sound so excited when they heard the baby cry for the first time!
Just been feeding and sleeping ever since. After pains and cracked nipples are soo sore but it'll pass.
LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021
got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩

That's sounds a lovely birth Angela, congratulations. How nice to have the boys there.

Good luck Northern, not long now.

I have seen consultant today. Feeling slightly sick as 1 he said baby will be early and because of some of the complications I could have. I would rather know he has everything covered but bit scared now. We discussed cs but he thinks I can manage a normal vaginal birth. My body's not quite convinced though.

    Good luck northern.

I have my section booked will find out 2 days before where on list I am I hope anyway as that's when pre OP is.
  • Please forgive me for this - I don't mean in an emergency situation of course.

I am feeling slightly jealous of anyone who knows when c-sec or induction will be. Its just this last 8 and bit weeks of waiting...its too much :(

  • Congratulations to Angela84-enjoy your lovely new baby

Sending lots of luck to Northern78- can't wait to hear your birth announcement.

AFM- So busy with my materntiy cover that I get hardly any time to post these days. Finding work ridiculously stressful and am counting down - only 16 days to go. I'm going to have a chat with my midwife in 2 weeks about maybe finishing a bit earlier if i'm still this stressed. It's making me extra tired all of the time :(

33 weeks yesterday and although time is whizzing by I'm starting to get impatient and I just want to meet my little one.

Hope everyone else is doing well and blooming in this last trimester.

    Welcome to any new joiners
