Hope your last bits of wedding plans are on track toooldforthis, and you're not too tired.

You too shorty1978, hope you're finding a little time for study and not fretting. Sometimes setting tiny goals of e.g. just doing 1 question/3 questions a night means you get a little done, instead of worrying you don't have the time or energy to put in hours at a stretch. (I've been working full time for 18 years, and studying alongside for 16 of them! No idea what it'll be like to be doing neither when I go on mat leave!)

My mat cover still hasn't been advertised, it's waiting on approval from someone who is, ironically, on paternity leave. They're very senior, so surely they should have a delegate to approve things while they're off... I can't see me having a long handover at this rate - it was planned to be a month, so that leaves them five days to arrive in post. Realistically, the advert's going to have to be live for a week, then interviews etc. Not really my problem I suppose, but I don't want them spending the next year saying, Timeflies never told me about this, I can't do this.

Backache and iron-tablet constipation keeping me awake - grr! I would just get on with something useful, but that involves making a noise and don't want to wake OH.

Glad your growth scan was positive loveactually - when are you booked in for your CS?

Time flies my maternity job was only sorted last week. Now I am off sick I can't do the handover I would like but can't be helped. Could have been sorted ages ago but heyho. Will do my best to email and maybe pop in had have a chat.

I have the opposite with iron tablets, they give me diarhoea. It's horrid and my dose has just been doubled as I am quite anemic.

Love I have my final growth scan next week. Will get to really see what baby looks like as dr last time very kindly put the 3d on. However midwife said this is a big baby. She said my bump was all baby and very little fluid. I hope it isn't too big :).

I also went for my antid yesterday. Midwife said ohh I haven't done one of these for years, can't believe how big the needle is, ohh isn't it a big dose. Thanks for that lol. It didn't hurt and my arm is only a little bit sore which is good.

    Hope u r all ok.

Too old - hope all is sorted for your wedding and you are able to enjoy your day

Angel - whenever we think we have bought all the items for hospital bag, there seems to be more.

Love actually - glad the scan was more positive and you have a date - are you keeping it secret so it will be a surprise for others?

Timeflies - hope your maternity cover gets sorted, but remember it is not your problem. I have been worried about mine, but was treated badly by my workplace yesterday so now thinking that if they don't care about the stress they are giving me, why should I worry about work when I am off.

MrKnight - I would have been put off by that midwife! Glad it wasn't too bad and you aren't feeling it today. Hope the scan goes well

I am now on half term, so going to try and catch up on work as well as relax. I have the whooping cough vaccine too so hoping that doesn't involve a large needle!! I had booked in to have some bump photos done professionally....I am not that photogenic, my OH doesn't want to go, so now thinking maybe I shouldn't have bothered, but I did want some photos to remind me of pregnancy. I don't have anything nice to wear either though, so could be a disaster.

Anyone else finding their baby seems to stick out? I have a clear lump where the baby pushes his bum out. This makes my bump look very weird - my OH had said it was only me who could tell but others were commenting on the position, nothing nasty, but it is obvious where he is. It seems to be his favourite position too and he won't budge from doing it.
  • Morning all....

Wedding: Getting there have had dress fitting so all sorted for that this sounds proper miserable but will be glad when its all over there just seems so much to do ! I'm lucky have a fab chief bridesmaid who keeps organising everything :)

Whooping cough had mine done yesterday and my arm still hurts nurse sent me home as blood pressure was really low and feet really swollen so am resting yet again today Sigh.

My iron is low at about 80 but the iron tablets were a complete no no for me so I have got Spatone and so far ( fingers crossed) I have had no side effects The midwife said they are a very good natural alternative so I'm sticking with them now

I feel the size of a small house with an extension at the mo lol
If you can’t look on the bright side,
I will sit with you in the dark

tia86, just remember - bum out is a good thing! Mine is currently back to back, and it gives me backache, as well as being the position that gives the longest and most painful labour - I'm hoping mine moves to be bum out!

I found the whooping cough jab was fine, sorry yours wasn't toooldforthis. Only thing was the nurse didn't put a plaster on, and I got blood on my white work shirt - so ask for one if they're being stingy!

At last count, my iron had got up to 102, and I haven't been faint every day this week, just sometimes. I'm on such a hefty dose, I have to take Lactulose with it. Midwife wants me to get to 105 in 3 weeks' time (normal is 120, but I've gone up from 75).

I'm sure the bump photos will be a nice souvenir. I haven't had my photo taken in months - I should get some with me and OH soon!

It's very sunny here,so feeling more alive than I was after sleeping badly :) I have a long list of baby shopping for tomorrow - only time we'll have a spare day together for months. Better make some room today for a crib in our room!

Hey girls, so lovely to hear about all the new babies being born!
Congratulations girls and enjoy these first lovely snuggly few weeks. Can't wait for that blur of constant feeding, changing, and gazing at them!
I had the midwife a couple of days ago to drop off my homebirth box, so its really getting real now. Just have to choose her name!

How can I add myself to the list? I'm due 8th November
LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021
got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩
  • Angela, if you go back up the page to the list, and quote it, then you can edit it and add yourself. Remember to remove the quote marks at start and end before posting or it will go in as a quote and nobody will be able to effectively edit it from there and may result in missing details.

I'll be popping in and out of here now we're finally back home so if there's anything anyone thinks I might be able to help with just ask :)
