Freebiequeen - welcome! Always nice to see new faces. If you want you can add yourself to the list and start the progression up to number 1. It's scary here as babies get born!!
Alioops I was also proud of those train pushers. Very impressive! I loved the video.
Any newbies, if you are interested there is a FB group too. If you want to join send me or Daisie your email address and we will add you. Bit less anonymous so not everyone likes it, but you are welcome.
I've been out again today! Breaking all my bedrest rules, tomorrow I will be much more strict.0 -
Ali - my mw told me at my booking app (I was 13 weeks at that time) to book them early as they fill up fast, so I've had mine booked for months. I'd ask on Mon, but sure you'll be ok
There seems to be a baby boom here at the moment, at the clinic today there were 75 women booked in that afternoon, only 4 midwives to see them all! All fine for me and measuring bang on for dates so growth scan next week might be a bit pointless but good to see baby again anyway.
Right - best go and start buying some stuff! Think car seat should be top of the list. Will also get the stuff my sister has for us and work out what else we need. House is still a tip/diy disaster but hoping to make a dent in the next few weeks.
Can I ask the difference between a sleep suit and a baby grow?0 -
I'd take it as well Daisy, and if there's something you don't have this early on I'm sure there will be someone in the hospital who can help until your OH can get to a shop0

Thanks for the replies re GTT. I don't qualify for it on BMI but my mum has diabetes so they may think of me as higher risk anyway. I have my MW appt soon so shall find out then.
T2D, have requested an add to the FB group thank you.
Hello Freebie! Long time no see
Oh, and I'm another one who hasn't bought much yet. We're hoping to move house in sept and have no room to store anything until then.LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -
tcod - my mum wasked if I wanted her to be there for the birth. I had expected this conversation and said thanks but no thanks. For pretty much the same reasons as you
Daisegg - so long as OH goes with you he can be sent to the shops. Hospitals are always near shops so the bare minimum will do. 24 hr supermarkets sell everything.
exciting credit crunch!
sewit - contact lazy daisy. For my area the lady was doing 4 drop in classes which ended on 4th August. The next lot are a 6 week group of classes with the last one when I am 39 weeks  However although I have paid upfront she will refund any unused.
Whoever was asking about NHS classes - my area told me to ring after my 20 week scan. I rang at 21 weeks and got a bit told off  anyhoo got mine this sunday 9.30-3.30 at 30+5 so all fine. They also do breast feeding drop in classes which i will ask about this Sunday.
Work is still unbelievably busy. Sent an email clearly defining what I can and can't do in the time left to me. My immediate team are being great and the bigger chesses haven't said no so doing best to slow down. We're even having a team meeting about it on Tuesday.
Apologies if missed anyoneMet DH to be 2010

In terms of what we have brought after getting rid of all baby stuff when we moved last yr we have had to start again. Have some clothes as been buying in sales and I always put baby in outfit in day n babygro at night. Outfit is usually a cotton dunagree set with long sleeve vest under for winter. I am not keen on jeans for under 6mths really.
Slowly getting a nappy stash varying sizes n brands dependant on offers and wipes are building up nicely I buy on offer but also whilst I have a proper wage!!0 -
R.e nesting... yesterday I had a mega nesting day and cleaned step daughters room moving her bed etc to hoover which I am not sure has been done in years by me or Oh... today though I am suffering for it..... defo need to crack on with more tidying though.... done a couple loads of washing today but thats it.
Hope all is well credit crunch.
I had my 38 week appointment today and baby is 1/5 engaged. Bit unsure if that means fully engaged or still 4/5s to go! I can defo feel her in my bits more now lol.
And my midwife has left.... which is a bit disconcerting after seeing her for last 30 weeks.... 11 days until due date praying I am not late as sooo uncomfortable now. Sleeping is not happening as bump too big!!!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

RMR, I had the GTT test even though my BMI was about 19 because my Dad was diabetic, so I would expect that you'll need to have one too.
35 weeks tomorrow and definitely getting fed up with aches and not sleeping properly.
In the last week I've had one person tell me I look massive, two people tell me bump is looking quite small, and one person tell me there's no way the baby will wait around until due date, he'll definitely be early. LOL. All I can say is that at 33+5 when the midwife last measured, I was measuring 33... so pretty much spot on. I certainly wouldn't object to baby coming a bit early, but hopefully he'll wait until I have had a few days of maternity leave (6 working days to go).
Sewit - I always thought sleepsuits had feet and long sleeves, vests are the ones without legs (and may be short or long sleeved), and that they are both babygrows. But I could be completely wrongDS pretty much lived in sleepsuits or vests for his first 6 months. He only wore proper clothes if we were going out somewhere particularly special or exciting!
Off to pick up the buggy tomorrow, no idea where we're going to put it. Maybe my Dad's garage.... we had used it to store one of our cars, but she's sold now so there must be a bit of spare space0
