    MORNING :D
I am being a night queue jumper!
Waters went yesterday just b4 7am on my first day of maternity leave!
Currently at home, and contractions (I think) have started!
If no real progress I will be induced at 7am today!

Sorry for jumping ahead of some of you lovely ladies!
It's also means I miss one of my best friends weddings tomorrow:(

Glucose tolerance test. Basically you're asked to undertake this if you're attending a metabolic clinic with a BMI over 40 or if you have had type two diabetes before or had gestational diabetes before (diabetes whilst pregnant). You fast for 12 hours night before, nurse takes blood at say 9am, you drink a high sugar drink ie: lucozade and then wait two hours... then the nurse takes your blood again and the 'spike' is measured. Not everyone has to undergo this however your doctor/midwife or consultant will let you know. There may be other reasons I'm not aware of for being asked to take this test.

BMI over 40?? It is BMI over 30 that triggers getting the GTT where I live!

The midwife did say they wanted to try and lower it to 30, however the official guidelines for Scotland is 40...no idea why!

Over 30 here too. I'm over either way though, booking in BMI (really really bloated that day!) was 51! Highest I've ever been!

How exciting Credit_Crunch hope all goes well for you! :j

Re clothes - I find anything that is snug around just above my pubic bone quite uncomfy, even mat jeans. I also strip into jammies when I get home!

Welcome RMR - good to see you on here!

EEKK - all you ladies are so organised with baby stuff! All we have is a playmat that someone gave us and a night light for the babies room. I have no idea what to buy and I think I'm still in denial that I do need to get some stuff sorted soon!

T2D - so pleased you are having (had?) a nice break and a good chat with DH. Stressful times all round and good that you are feeling better emotionally.

Ali - I am also enjoying being low down the list! Lilmiss - top 10 is good but scary!

Daisiegg - how are you doing, enjoying the summer holidays?

Hi Lemon, WTDN, Mrs_C and to anyone else that I've missed!

Back to mw today for me, 28 week bloods, then our growth scan next week! Think we'll be ok as at mw apps I seem to be measuring ok for dates. Starting to freak out at the prospect of giving birth, do the antenatal classes make this better or worse do you think? I'm also thinking of switching from YogaBellies to Lazy Daisy as you need to book an 8 week course at Yoga, Is there a minimum number of classes you need to book at LD?

    xx
