18 days TCOD!! Doesn't feel that long ago that you got your surprise bfp.
Then it's the IVF trio not far behind.
It's bizarre isn't it? I still can't quite get my head around the fact that this has happened and that there will be a baby soon! Keep thinking i'll wake up! I feel like i've won the lottery and I'm so glad that I got to be with the IVF trio on this mad adventure! I remember when you were all downregging/ starting and I was so upset because I thought I would be starting treatment at same time as wtdn and peonie in the same hospital!
Wtdn- a sweep off mil would be a step too far for me... That said she pulled my pants down a bit the other day to feel for baby's position and exposed my pubes... My 19 year old bil was sat in the corner desperately trying to disappear and then mil's mum wandered in for a look too. Lol.
I was going to see if she would come into room when i'm in established labour but have already asked my mum which tbh I wish I hadn't now- you're only allowed 2 people in max.... Worried that my mum will try and usurp OH and start bugging me when he really is the only one who can calm me down when I get stressed etc. My mum is also booking two weeks off work when baby gets here which I know on one hand is really generous and thoughtful but on the other hand i'm worried that she'll just constantly be chipping in when I'd prefer OH and me to spend time with baby getting used to being parents. She seems to think i'll be leaving baby with her pretty much straight away... Can't really avoid her either as we live with her. I sound really ungrateful don't I?0 -

I'm still quite low on the list but am keeping quiet about someone further up that I know has had their baby premature (I read her other thread) just so that I don't move up too quickly :rotfl:
T2D so glad that you and hubby have been able to discuss things rationally. It makes a big change being out of the home to sort things out as it takes a bit of the emotion out of it plus you've been stuck there for way too long. Well done on enjoying yourself as well you deserve it.
Credit enjoy your wedding and hope your mw appointment went well.
I'm another one hoping nesting kicks in although I'm still waiting for the increased sex drive too or rather hubby is:o:rotfl:
Had my GTT this morning and really struggled the last hour with it as the room was tiny and some people just weren't talking quietly or had their phones on silent. Nearly fainted and felt really sick, went out got some fresh air, went back in same thing so went and sat in the car for the remainder of the time. The nurse struggled to get blood out of me so I'll probably have a nice bruise to show for it tomorrow. I'll find out my results either way on Monday as I have my 28 week mw appointment then.
Hope everyone else is doing good today xDEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

It totally was. We needed the change of scenery I think. Feeling 100% better about relationship, although I am physically a bit of a mess - I hardly slept at all last night! I want to catch up with everyone but too tired to do it.
Will be back for banter and chat tomorrow.0 -

Good luck with the test. I think your and my stories are continuing on same vein (s'cuze the pun). The doctor phoned me the day after the test to say mine were all fine and no spike so hoping you'll get yours just as fast. The funny thing is, that the nurse didn't have problem getting my blood however, I have two massive purple and black bruises on each arm - seriously looks like someone has grabbed me very hard at each inner elbow. Doesn't normally happen when I give or they take blood so not sure if the GTT is a diff type of test or they take more or ? Hoping you don't bruise and hoping for a non spiky test for you x
ps ... hoping for nesting and (:o) increased sex drive to pick up too... probably, like everything, doesn't happen to all women... I did buy some baby gentle washing detergent today... does that count as nesting? :rotfl:
ok.. so another question, this time for people with pets... we (yes I know, I know) treat our cat like a furry child (as we were told the chance of having children was verrryyyy low so I guess she was our 'baby' (:o:o) and I've started to think about how we'll manage the cat behaviour when the wee one is here.. there's no doubt in my mind our cat will be jealous and also very curious... she sleeps on our bed... aside from locking the door and having a cat make 'you've deserted me mum and dad kitten meows' all night are there any other tricks for all living in harmony? What are others thinking of doing?0 -
Just an FYI for anyone who may be interested, Savers has Seven Seas prenatals 28 pack (4 week supply) for £2.99 (cheapest I've found elsewhere is £4.99), 10ml bottles of tea tree oil for £1 (it's real, I checked!), and bump oil (kinda like bio oil by the looks of it, was beside of the bio oil in my store) for £1 for 100ml, and Mum&Me stuff for £1-£1.49, full size bottles. Everything is well within date too! Might be worth checking out if there is one in your area. Plus they have Haribo Minions!
The Mum&Me stuff seems to only be on sale until the 23rd of August btw.0 -
What's GTT please? Whatever it is I hope the results are good for everyone having the test.
Just wondering, does anyone just want to strip off completely when they get back home from work? Clothes are so uncomfortable to me right now. Or is it just me?LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00 -

Glucose tolerance test. Basically you're asked to undertake this if you're attending a metabolic clinic with a BMI over 40 or if you have had type two diabetes before or had gestational diabetes before (diabetes whilst pregnant). You fast for 12 hours night before, nurse takes blood at say 9am, you drink a high sugar drink ie: lucozade and then wait two hours... then the nurse takes your blood again and the 'spike' is measured. Not everyone has to undergo this however your doctor/midwife or consultant will let you know. There may be other reasons I'm not aware of for being asked to take this test.
Clothes - yes yes and more yes! More about feeling absolutely sweaty betty by the time I'm home... I literally drop the clothes in the hall (much to the amusement of OH) and put all in the wash immediately... then slip on a cool long swishy dress to lounge about in... bliss! :rotfl:0
