How exciting that Skint could have her baby! Hope all is well!

Credit_Crunch - a good cry fixes lots of things and takes stress away too, so cry away. I'm sure the decisions you have made will be right for you.

Lemon_Tree - hope you are doing ok, when do you go back to work?

MrsC - just reading what you are doing makes me tired! Take care not to overdo it though.

T2D - oh honey, sorry to hear things are not back to normal with DH. Can't offer much advice, but stick at it and it will pass. Can you try and talk to your DH to try to understand why he is being so difficult? Have you contacted your mw about specialist care? As you are on rest, and they did warn you about the risks of 'cabin fever' then hopefully it should be easy to access support. How about getting a nice massage, maybe get someone to come to the house or is there somewhere local you can go to? We're all here for you so keep posting!

Daisie - how are you? Are you signed off work?

Ali - hope you are doing ok too?

TACOD - how are you getting on?

    Purcy - how's things?

AFM - mw app went fine, baby is lying sideways (transverse?) and heard the heartbeat again (recorded it for DH). Bump measuring bang on for dates so that is all good! Back in two weeks for 28 week bloods then a week after that for our growth scan.

Sorry to those I've missed, I am definitely suffering from baby brain at the moment! Reversed the car into a lamp post the other day, told DH he couldn't shout at me, which surprisingly worked! :rotfl:

Thanks for asking Sewit I'm doing alright at the moment just had a lot on over the last week or so but have been reading.

It culminated in attending a wedding and a 30th birthday BBQ on Saturday so was a manic day, wedding started at 2.30pm finished about 4pm, went to sainsbugs so DH could buy bigger trousers (don't ask lol), onto the birthday BBQ for a few hours then onto the evening reception at 7.30pm needless to say Sunday was lost to laziness and napping.

We had both booked off yesterday as a holiday as we knew we would be tired and wanted a day to ourselves unfortunately I was really ratty with DH as he annoyed me at the wedding by being unofficial photographer and pretty much ignoring me all night when I didn't know anyone other than him and the bridge and groom.

He's also got a couple of mates that seem to think they can spend all weekend around ours now playing golf on the PS3 so much so one of them invited another friend to come over.... It's really getting on my wick now as it's every weekend and even Friday and Sunday nights. One of the friends rang at 9pm last night and asked if DH was allowed to play out as he wanted to come round. I can understand on a Sunday as I'm pretty much useless with having worked fulltime all week then doing stuff on Saturday's but if I'm going to have to something pretty quick to nip it in the bud as the house ain't going to sort itself out.

Woah sorry that turned really ranty sorry Ladies, guess I needed to get it off my chest.

I was due to have an appointment with an Anaesthetic consultant however they cancelled the clinic so now have to wait for another appointment to come through.

 View - nice to see you on here and there's now 3 aussies that can have nonsensical chats about bogans, spewing, thongs and icy poles :rotfl:

T2D really sorry that you're having such a tough time with your OH at the moment, wish I could help in some way but I guess if you need us we're here for you xx

Fingers crossed for Skint having had her baby so far although it keeps making it real that being on this thread means we have a baby at the end of it  :rotfl:.

Hugs to anyone else that needs them and sorry if I've missed anyone I'm just really not having a good brain day.

  • Hi sewit. I'm fine thanks. Have adapted to finishing work earlier by developing the sleep pattern of a teenage boy. I finished washing all the babies clothes, nappies and bits and bobs yesterday so was pretty emotional all day. Feels surreal seeing them all clean and folded on dining table waiting for baby! Never thought i'd be this lucky! :)

I drove into the back of a car around the same dates as you- I was watching the traffic lights and just didn't realise the car in front had to move too! Total baby brain! :) hope you're ok though. :)

hugs to T2D, hoping skint has her baby soon and congrats to pomme.

sorry I haven't posted for a while but had nothing to report. No sign at all of bean and still likes to be high up. I've told it while it fidgets like it can't get comfy well if you weren't so high up maybe you would be comfier.

Does anyone know the rules on paternity does OH have to take it as soon as the baby is born or can he wait until I am out of hospital to take it? His work is being a pain he put in for two weeks of paternity followed by a weeks holiday and told them the reason why and they rejected the weeks holiday. They have set holidays so he had to have most of his holidays in may when I was still at work so no use to us whatsoever. :(

Plantpot, take a look at this link
https://www.gov.uk/paternity-pay-leave/leave, as long as it is finished within 56days so they can't make him take it straight away by my understanding.
My hubby's work give him an extra 5 days holidays in lieu of paternity leave so he gets a week at full pay instead of 2 weeks at minuscule pay. Not sure which I'd rather have!

SewIt, never fear, it comes in fits and starts, tonight since I've finished work I've done not a lot apart from a 30 mile round trip to make a delivery and now sitting in front of the tv having taken the washing in off the line. Next week I will be home alone so will probably be early bed every night apart from one when I've got a meeting.

Alioops I'm afraid I'd be getting OH told on that one, you need time together and you need time to rest without all his mates being round all the time.

Off to docs in the morning for the whooping cough vaccine, means I won't be on site til after 10am tomorrow since the drive will be about an hour, and I leave again at 4. Will seem like a nice short day! Next week I need to be there for 8am though so been told to leave at 3 each day, there are contractors coming on site and they like to work 7-7 but they've been told 8-3 and that's it. There's no way I'm doing 14 hour days including travelling!
