Glad everything's OK View

Hope you are feeling better now daisie! I was awake around that time of the morning too, it was too hot to sleep. Came downstairs and managed to get another half hours sleep on the sofa as it was a bit cooler in the living room, before going back to sleep again upstairs. Then awake a bit later with cramp in my toe! Plus the toilet trips, and we'd forgotten to turn the alarm off so it went off at 6.50am. Yawn.

hugs Daisie - hope you're better today.

AFM - I've been having contractions five minutes apart for over three hours now. Have phoned hospital and the home birth midwives are on standby. They have recommended I have a bath as that will either stop it (if it's not really time) or it will carry on. Plus I guess it's something to do!

My doula is on standby now and I called my mum as she will come to look after DD and lives 2 hours away but she got a bit flappy so that's not helpful! I don;t need her to come yet but thought I'd better alert everyone.

Interestingly, yesterday I suspected that the breast my DD feeds off, which has been producing milk while the other one has been producing colostrum for months, was leaking colostrum and this mroning when she fed DDD confirmed it had changed again to colostrum, so my body is definitely preparing for imminent baby

I really hope that this is it!

Finally have time to post here ! I gave birth to a beautiful girl on 18th July at 4.15am ! 3.76kg ! Ouch ! Was totally convinced i was having a boy so what a surprise ! The birth was an amazing experience but i lost alot of blood so have struggled to get my strength back.

Good luck to all you ladies coming up to term ... what a life-changing experience having a baby !! And terrifying bringing it home the first day ! :j

House is all packed up, ready to move in the morning. I feel a little bit emotional about leaving this house but can't wait to get in the new one!

view glad you were reassured, I was also told that with this heat baby is often not too energetic during the day and will wait until the evening. I know mine is (and often waits till I'm asleep)
