Ooh another quick question on the subject of tens machines, my friend is lending me hers which is the old boots maternity tens machine that you used to be able to hire, only thing is I need to replace the pads and they don't actually sell the machine anymore.

Does anyone know if I could just use any other pads with it? She seemed to think they were standard sizes but I don't know, I'm clueless!!

Thanks Claire! I've been looking at getting one since the midwife recommended it. They hire them out for £30 at our birth centre so think I will pay the extra and buy it instead

Yeah the ebay one is £30.50 and free postage and the cheapest hire Ive found is £22 so seems to make sense to buy it, you can always resell on ebay or keep for another baby! Plus means I dont have to post anything back or worry about extending the hire etc

I got the Elle and have had a play with it already using the practice pads.

Mysec how exciting! It'll be wrth being a bit broke for a month to get moved in earlier!

We've pretty much given up on buying a house before thumper arrives now so we've had a big declutter, did a car boot on sunday and made £110 :T and a charity shop ru but still have a few bits left to get rid of. I did a load of scrubbing to get rid of mould that had built up in the house and just generally reorganised na lot of things, the house looks really nice now

Me and the little one are off to CAdbury world tommorow, very exciting and I've really enjoyed our special time together so far this half term and we're going to butlins at the weekend, got a 3 day break for £103 :T

Birdie I'm glad to hear you got some special time with your OH for your anniversary it sounds lovely

Well little Leah Elizabeth was born at 7.45am this morning weighing 7lb 5oz.

It was a relatively quick but excruciating labour, but apart from the sheer agony there were no complications. Only had gas and air for the last centimetre due to circumstances and then pushing took 1 hour 15 mins with a 2nd degree tear. We're admitted as she still hasn't fed but should be home tomorrow.

Good links claire on those tens machines, makes sense to buy if you're planning on more than one baby.
