:T go aqua!
Daisiegg my lovely - do you keep a diary of her movements? My little man varies and it worries me. Keeping a diary helps work out roughly what's normal for him.
Do you have any relaxation CDs or meditations? There are specific pg ones or you can just google for some free generic ones. Not going to be a magic cure but might help you feel more in control and put some moments of feeling better into the day which has to be better than feeling awful all the time. Can often take practise to get good at so don't stop if it doesn't work straight away.
Are you able to do anything physical? Bob in a pool, gentle walk?
Yes skintchick that is exactly why it's helpful - knowing what I don't want as well as what I do, and i didn't realise until you said, was great. You even caused a miracle as DH went through it with me and even had a couple of ideas of his own!
Mrs C - you go girl. Also I saw you post somewhere else that you are about 6 months pg. Nearly feel off my chair when I realised therefore I was too!
Lemontree - it is a REALLY difficult dilemma. I am the pot calling the kettle black here as my last two weeks (and the ones to come it seems) have been hectic and I am no good at saying no (maybe why I am pg :rotfl:). I am keeping a close eye on my hours and recording them like you so i can take them back. If my (or DH's insomnia) hits I go in early to miss traffic and therefore leave early (hmm, didn't work yesterday as did 8-6.30, need to look at that again). Let the bosses know that all the work is not going to be done in the time they need it - make sure you email as well as face to face so that you have written proof. Your job is to work as efficiently as you can. Theirs, once this has been achieved, is to find ways to manage the shortfall. Something I have also been thinking is that I need to start behaving as though there is a child I need to be on time for to pick up from childcare. Got to start these habits now. In fact starting antenatal hydrotherapy has been good in that I leave on time on Tuesday to make sure I get there.
Laila - that's reassuring re size. People can still miss that I am pg in certain clothes!
AFM we have DH's graduation at 5pm today so very excited  Got lots to do before then plus the little wally woke me up at 5.30am so going to be a long but hopefully good day. Looks like sunshine!

Congrats Aqua! Hope you are feeling better soon!0

Pomme Verte - been quiet a bit, hopefully that means things are moving.
Daisie - sorry to hear about the stressing, but I totally know what you mean. I worry so much about work, I'm dreaming about it and stressing over it. And yet because I'm working from home I think everyone in the office presumes I doing nothing! I can't wait to finish up, and only 1 week to go.
Lemontree - I've posted on FB, but hope you can find a way to control your hours. They should really be preparing for maternity cover for you anyway, so perhaps knowing you can't work as hard as before may encourage them to bring that forward. Problem is hiring takes so long!!
AFM - I think I need a little whinge fest today. I'm feeling really rubbish already. Got a terrible headache and nausea. I can't even face my breakfast, which I've tried to be really good with while pregnant (I'm normally a breakfast skipper).
I think it might be the pregnacare. I'm terrible at remembering to take pre-natal vitamins since I stopped folic acid around 12 weeks. It's funny as I was great at taking 10-12 tablets a day when TTC, but somehow I never remember now! But I've started taking pregnacare again and have had a pickup in nausea, and now diarrhoea. Does everyone else take vitamins? Do we need them? I eat a very healthy diet with lots of fruit and vegetables most of the time, and a bowl of cereal each morning with plenty of milk to keep up calcium (as I tend to avoid milk normally).
And to add to my whinge, I can barely walk! It's not SPD, but I had a hip problem for ages that flared up about 10 weeks ago but it calmed down after treatment. Now it's completely flared again over the last day or so, I'm limping horribly and in pain even sitting or lying down. I need to get to the osteopath again... hopefully she sees people on the weekend as I have visitors after lunch that I have to see.
Sigh. Sorry for the whinge. Just feeling crap today - and I have work to do!0 -
Delurking to say congrats Aqua, so glad you got your VBAC!
Take it REALLY easy, I lost 2 litres during birth and my iron went from 15 to 6.2, when I first stood up after birth I felt like I had no muscles or bones and almost collapsed in the shower. Let people do everything for you, sit back and enjoy your princess!0 -
Congratulations Aqua :j:j0

Hugs for feeling carp t2d I hope you can get in touch with your osteopath, it's horrible when you just can't get comfy x
Congrats to your DH lilmissreading x
Glad your midwife apt went well lailap x
Lol at the punishment mrsctobe hopefully he will learn his lesson!
AFM the reality of potentially meeting princess Purcy in as little as 3 weeks is starting to sink in eeeeeek! She's taken nearly 2 years to get here but I had a bit of a panic about not being ready last night lol
DH has had his paternity leave signed off so he's off work from the 24th July until mid september (teacher) so I'll have plenty of help at the beginning and DH will get lots of time to bond yay!
I don't know if anyone spotted a few posts back but I'd like to join the Facebook group, I'm not sure who the admin are for it but if you would let me know I can PM you my e-mail address x
Hugs to all

Congratulations Aqua, hope you have a quick recovery.
Sorry not posting much, I have been reading though. I took maternity leave early in the end. Plan was to go to 36 weeks but being a nurse it just wasn't possible so I'm now officially on mat leave at 35 weeks. I have started my antenatal classes, has anyone else? They are ok, not as good as I had hoped they would be. Now for the thing that I'm a bit of a mess over. Had my 34 weeks midwife appointment and she's concerned that there isn't enough growth between my 30 week and 34 week appointment (static growth) so she's referred me for a growth scan. Babies fine kicking and heartbeat was fine but I'm really panicking. Has anyone else had one of these?
Anyway:
Daisie - work really isn't worth worrying about. Maybe talk through thins with your midwife if your getting really stressed.
Time2deal - hope your hips get better. I had SPD which physio fixed but the last 2 days think my pelvis is out of alignment so I feel your pain, it's awful. Luckily when I'm lying mine is fine.
Purcy - HBA1C is blood sugars basically. There is diagnostic HBA1C which will diagnose diabetes and then HBA1C which they tend to do on people already diagnosed to get there levels.
Hope everyone's well?
