Keep legs together when sitting standing and lying, don;t do wide-legged stances, don;t lift heavy stuff, don;t twist, and don't hoover is what my physio said. Also do not sit on the floor or cross your legs.
:rotfl: foof. Sorry! It feels exactly like this sort of under the groin crease up into the hip and then shooting across top of pubic bone (not bone pain though- more like something is tearing iykwim?). The list of forbidden things sounds like everything I have planned for this week! Lol.0 -
Thanks for all the well wishes!
Finally got to go home Saturday afternoon, wasn't able to sleep much at all in hospital but have had a couple of hours in my own bed a couple of times since and feel much more human now! This is the first chance I've had to read back so apologies in advance for the massive post.
lilmissreading hope baby has moved position and you're feeling more comfortable now.
Glad your work are trying to make adjustments to make you more comfortable MrsC. Hope you manage to get the shoulder sorted and that the 15 year old's behaviour improves!
TCOD hope your final couple of weeks at work go quickly for you, mine went far too quickly! Have you asked the midwife about a referral to the pregnancy physio for your pubic bone/hip pain?
WTDN hope all is well with you.
PommeVerte you may have had your baby by now, my contractions started at about 20 minutes minutes apart the day I went into labour, then went to about 7, then 4 by which time I was in hospital as had worries about baby's movement. Fingers crossed that you're not kept waiting much longer. Good luck!
daisie hope you're feeling better soon, if you're ever worried about movements please do ring in, they couldn't stress enough to me how important it is to ring in with reduced movement, even though most cases are just baby being lazy they prefer to check. Hope you are feeling less stress about work too.
purcy I didn't find the metformin too bad side effect wise and it did work for me so I avoided insulin, fingers crossed it works for you too. I had minor panic every now and again in the last few weeks and this is my 2nd, but now she's here everything is fine!
MY OH is having 4 weeks off work - 2 weeks paternity followed by 2 weeks annual leave and he has been a godsend, I couldn't have done it without him and he's being a massive help! Hope your DH enjoys his bonding time once your little one arrives!
Lemon Tree hope your work have found somebody to help you out with your workload, it's really not fair to be putting you under all that pressure. I'm very impressed that you've made your own fitted sheets for the crib.
skintchick hope you manage to find some relief from your SPD soon, and fingers crossed baby doesn't keep you waiting too long after your daughter's birthday. Good luck if you are in labour though!
Scotsbride hope you're coping OK with the GD. Luckily I went into labour naturally at 39+6 so I managed to avoid the induction. They had agreed to let me me go to 40+4 in the end but as it turned out the extension wasn't needed!
My OH is also guilty of storing things in the kitchen, like a heavy car seat base that used to block my access to the cupboards!
LailaP glad all was well at 28 week appointment, hope your blood pressure is back to normal soon and that there's been no more stresses with the house move.
T2D hope that your last week at work isn't too stressful and that the headache, nausea and hip pain ease soon.
sunshine hope you are recovering well from your blood loss too and enjoying your time with James Christopher. My body seems to be coping quite well and I'm feeling stronger every day.
Hope you are enjoying maternity leave Disney. I had a growth scans in both my pregnancies for different reasons - it's hard to accurately gauge babies growth with a tape measure so hopefully the scan will put your mind at ease, also it's a nice chance to see baby again!
Glad your NCT class was good cmace. My arm was sore for about a week after the whooping cough jab so I couldn't lie on that side but other than that no nasty after affects! Hope you are enjoying your maternity leave.
AFM, I'd felt reduced movements throughout the day on Thursday but she was still moving a little, I'd been having regular pains throughout the day, by 5pm I was in quite a lot of pain so my mum had come over and I rang the hospital who said to come in because of the movements, got there about 6pm and was examined, was only 1-2cm so based on that I wouldn't have been kept in but they did a couple of traces on baby who was fine but showing a few signs of distress, based on me being high risk they decided to send me off to the high risk delivery suite. Everything then started happening really quickly (just as well I wasn't sent home) and our gorgeous DD was born at a few minutes after 11pm weighing 7lbs 8oz. I had to have an assisted delivery and an episiotomy and lost a lot of blood but I'm over the moon I managed a VBAC. We're all absolutely in love with her, and DS keeps giving her kisses and telling her she's a good baby!0 -

Hi ladies, just a quick one to say hello! I'm moving on up to this thread as I am currently 24+3 weeks pg. Some of you I know from the TTC 12+ thread, the less than 12 weeks and the 12-24 weeks thread, so its lovely to finally be able to join you all on this last pg thread!
For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself. I'm SewIt, almost 36 (eek) and I live in Scotland. On our 2nd round of IVF we conceived this wee one after 2 1/2 years of 'unexplained' fertility. We're over the moon and feel very, very lucky indeed. Getting extra growth scans due to IVF (28+34 weeks) and won't be allowed to go past due date by much. Trying not to think too much about that now though! EDD is Halloween!
Sorry for lack of personals on this visit, just sneaking on at work during my lunch!
Hope everyone is well and congrats to those who have recently popped! xx0 -
hi Sewit, glad to see you on the 'big girl' thread. Jealous of a Halloween due date, that's my dad's birthday.0
-
Welcome Sewit! Lovely to see another long term TTC'er on this board. There was such a burst in Feb, and then a bit of a lull.
Did they say why you need the extra scans due to IVF? I've getting a million scans for various reasons, but it being an IVF pregnancy has never been mentioned as a reason. Are there particular concerns?0 -
Welcome SewIt0

Hi sewit so glad to see you over here x0

 Ladies
I'm 24 + 1 today so am moving up to the big girls thread.
Not sure if I do the list or someone else does it so could I please be added next time it's updated.Alioops - edd 2 November 2014 Team PinkI know a few of you from the previous threads but for those that I've not 'met' before I'm 35 (36 in September ). It's our first baby and really looking forward to getting to meet her although we still haven't heard her heartbeat as they don't listen util the 25 week mw appointment which we have next Monday.
I have a neurological condition that is genetic so have already got an appointment for our little girl in March for her to be tested to see if I've passed it on to her. And due to this condition I have an obstetric consultant who has decided that I'm to have at least 2 growth scans with a review after them just to check how things are progressing but as it's a rare condition I think they're doing it more out of not knowing what to do which I don't mind as for me it's better to be monitored than not.
I've also got to have the GTT and have an appointment with the Anaesthetic consultant to discuss pain relief, epidural, etc. Oh and another scan as at my 20 week scan they found that I have a low lying placenta which I'm well aware can grow legs and walk to the right position.
All in all I'm feeling pretty looked after and I know that my family in Oz are a lot happier knowing that I'm being so well taken care of.
After that essay yay if you've managed to get to the bottom if not I don't blame you :rotfl:
Looking forward to the final stages of this journey with you all.
