I'm full term today!! 37 weeks Yay! :D

Think I may be starting pre labour as having strong BH and diarrhoea, but hopefully I will not go into true labour for at least a week!

Pleased to say that my decision to refuse induction wasn't met by resistance from either the diabetic consultant nor my usual high risk consultant. I've agreed to go in for a scan and CTG monitoring on baby on Friday. Then back on Tuesday for more CTG monitoring on baby and a sweep.

Midwife tried and failed to do a sweep today as cervix still not favourable but she did have a good poke around so I'm quite happy and don't feel like crying.

OH is not at all amused and has told me I'm putting baby at risk (delaying him booking his jolly I think is what he really means) but I'm prepared to consider induction next week as I appreciate its risky to baby for me to go too far overdue!

Hope everybody is having a good day!
  • Aqua that's absolutely fantastic I'm really pleased for you that you didn't meet resistance which means they must be confident in your decisions. It's a bit of a shame your hubby isn't an agreement with you, but men are funny sometimes.

skintchick - yay for reaching fullterm - I hope you get to just simply enjoy it now :)

Purcy - I wish you well for your scan now, everything is probably fine. And it's so lovely seeing them take up more and more room on the screen.

pomme - that sounds like nesting to me, and sounds like you're doing all the right stuff :)

AFM, quite irritating me I didn't have any more of those very strong tightenings, despite sitting on the ball bouncing all evening. Had a very nice chilli for dinner though.

I've given up thinking about babies today! So have been out in the shed doing some upholstery work on a 1950s easy chair. It'll be a nursing chair for me if I just put in another couple of hours work. I got done some tight pulling of fabric and hammering tacks and fiddly top stitching.

Husband is taking a half day so we are off out to the country Park this afternoon for a nice long walk. It'll please the dog if nothing else!

Wow - so many ladies getting so close! Skint that must be so amazing for you after such a tough few years. Fantastic to hit such a milestone.

Good luck for the ladies all getting ready to pop. Such an exciting, but must also be scary, time. Glad to see some better hospital/consultant stories too. Nice to feel supported and comfortable with your decisions.

No change for me (which is probably a good thing). 27 weeks tomorrow.

Not sure if the cleaning frenzy was really nesting, the house just really needed a clean and i was hoping it would encourage baby to come ... i didn't have an 'urge' to do it, and i didnt enjoy it so doesnt sound like nesting does it lol !

Got OH to blow up my bouncy ball too after one of you ladies mentioned it, so have been watching the tour de france and bouncing away. Need to finish the blanket i've been crocheting too, only been working on it since i found out i was pregnant ! Someone sent me an amazing crocheted blanket a few months ago tho, which sort of makes mine look abit rubbish so my motivation went out the window :rotfl:

Gross question alert, but i think we're all abit past gross-ness now : What does the mucus plug look like ? Is tinged-green mucus normal ? Wow that really really is gross, soz ! :o

Pomme, I think it is more a bloody CM style mucus, rather than green but I'm really not sure. If you are REALLY brave there are lots of images on google I am told. Never looked it up myself!

Vicstick you are a braver woman than me. And at 37 weeks I think throwing a ball is perfectly acceptable! I probably would have outsourced even that!

    Aqua that's great positive news.

I've spent today tidying things up in our spare room. I discovered Oh had filled it up with all sorts of randoms stuff - toys, clean clothes, craft stuff, pictures DD has done, just all kinds of crap from around the house that he "tidies up" then dumps in the spare room!

So I sorted most of it out and told him we could finish it on Saturday ready for baby stuff to go in.

I just went to the loo upstairs and he has filled the bathroom with boxes from the loft! We have nowhere to put them till the spare room is clear! !!!!!! is he thinking?!?! I feel very stressed by it :(

It feels like every step forward I make in getting organised, he screws up by doing something "helpful" without discussing it with me first.

I have my SPD physio session tomorrow at the hospital. It's a group session so not sure what it will entail. Hoping its useful.

Iv'e also cleared out all my email folders and I found my old birth plan! So I've been able to just rejig it for this birth which is great. Saves me a loaad of work. If anyone would like me to share it then I'm happy to, it may be useful. :)

Oh yeah, the lollipop lady at school has started trying to guess my due date because I won;t tell anyone and instead am just saying I am in thedue window. I find it really rude! If I wanted people to know then I would tell them!

OH is back from Tesco now with shopping and chocolate to appease me because he is going out to watch the football, better go tackle him about these boxes!
