Thanks for all your thoughts, ladies. I am not really sure how I 'm feeling right now. I'm trying to get on with my to do list and focus on practical stuff for now. I did a natal hypnotherapy workshop today with a friend who has just trained and wants me to help promote her so I got it for free. It was really interesting and effective, and I'm looking forward to using it during birth.
I remembered I forgot to join in the conversation about getting treatments done before giving birth. For me, it's not about wanting to look glam while giving birth, but not having to bother about make-up etc afterwards, so I'm going to make sure I've had my highlights and a lash and brow tint done and that way I know I will look reasonable even with just a quick shower (although with DD i didn;t always even get one of those!). It's also a nice way to pamper myself a little before I have a baby, as afterwards there is very little time for that kind of thing. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Robots Hope you are getting on OK and you sound a bit happier. Come on baby Robots!! I have thrown away quite a bit of stuff already in preparation for moving, I think my nesting instincts have kicked in and it's not being able to know where I need to nest that is bothering me so much...
thanks. I guess I'm happier as I got the delay that has given me time to think & process, so I'm coming to terms with the idea of induction (fingers crossed we don't need it though) & mostly that we are now doing / have done what we can to encourage baby.
Ah, laliapyou saying you're needing to nest but don't know where yet must be hard. Our spare room isn't sorted yet, so I've washed things & sorted them into baskets for things we will need now & storage boxes for stuff in a few months. Maybe you could do similar? Or probably are already!

Huge congratulations firey! :jwahar a lovely name

1. I've got a bag with my stuff in... Change of clothes, wash kit, maternity pads, a couple breast pads, old knickers,
* With a cloth basket inside containing labour things - massage balm, coconut oil, CD/iPod, hand sized Pilates ball, water spray bottle, arnica , straws, energy tablets etc. plus a carrier bag with jelly babies & dried fruit etc
2. Then the baby changing bag with some baby clothes, nappies (disposables & a few cloth for coming home in hopefully), muslins, jug (for washing & me weeing!)
3. Bag with my cushion & yoga mat - May stay in car, depends on which room /facilities we get.
4. Bag to stay in car in case of longer stay - change of clothes for me & baby, more maternity pads, more nappies, more snacks, plus the special bringing baby home blanket (which my nan knitted for my coming home)
5. Bag of stuff for me for if I have to be kept in / when induced & if it takes time - magazine, tablet & headphones, xstitch, book, food etc.
So I've got everything covered lol!
aquamarine - that sounds like a good stint of pre-laboursounds like you're doing what you can, I hope it works for you.
Skint chick - sounds like the hypno birthing session did you lots of good. I'm glad.
I painted my toe nails last week, need to re-do them now! That's about as far as my beauty prep has got! Though I'm making sure I'm keeling my face routine up, with a bit more pampering than usual

Sheesh, I'm top of the list! Eek!
Had a nice weekend, husband wasn't working (first wknd in weeks) so it was really nice to spend time together. We had friends over today which was nice, if rather exhausting.
40+6 today. Eating dates, drinking raspberry leaf tea, taking oil of evening primrose, bouncing & rotating on ball, going for walks, eating curry & chilli, having ahem, quality time, with husband when able... I've spent 8 months wanting baby to stay put safe inside (early pgcy bleeds, worrying NT test, Amnio, appendicitis) & now wanting baby to show up ASAP! Funny isn't it.
Back at hospital tomorrow afternoon for more obs... I hope that's all (maybe another S&S?), really hoping all is still ok & they don't keep me in.

I haven't found anything "official" about Oil of Evening Primrose, but these threads mentions that it contains Prostaglandins (like sperm & induction pessary), midwives & some studies.. http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/childbirth/606975-evening-primrose-oil-to-soften-cervix/AllOnOnePage

hi all, congratulations moonbabe and firey enjoy your cuddles with your little ones.
I survived the visit to the outlaws, mostly by arranging to be out of the house or asleep, but nothing really changes there.0 -

Thats a good idea, I have lots of clothes that don't fit me right now so I can pack those up. If we move it's less to do and if we stay then it's more room for the baby. Great idea...thanks :T
Keeping fingers crossed baby Robots put in an appearance!
Lemon Tree Good work avoiding the outlaws, sounds like a wise idea!
Apparently our buyers want to come round this afternoon...hope this isn't a bad sign...I'm getting really stressed and feeling crampy today, hope I am not harming the baby by getting wound upHubby is going to deal with it all whilst I go for a walk with the dog so hopefully that will chill me out.
I signed up for some Lazy Daisy classes last night, starting tomorrow night so I think that is good timing and hopefully will help me relax!
28+10 -
hope your buyers are only coming round to measure up and nothing goes wrong. I hate the whole process of buying and selling so you have my sympathies0

Thanks Lemon Tree, they've just been and gone. Apparently they are trying to decide whether to move back to Poland or carry on buying our house! Brilliant...we are meant to be moving in 2.5 weeks!!0
-
that's a bit late for such a decision, do you know what they've decided yet?0
-
That's bonkers! After you've both spent money on legal fees etc that's plain ridiculous. I'd be suspicious & expect them to ask for a reduction in price tomorrow...Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0

Fair play to the ladies though they have a close bond so it's fair enough, I'm sure we'll end up as close as they are.
t2d they judged I would end up with gestational diabetes when I walked through the door due to my bmi, but because I can't do the gtt I've had to do random weeks of testing 4 times a day, they are hopefully about to back down and accept that just cos I'm big doesn't nessarily mean I will have gd and discharge me from diabetic consultant next week. fingers crossed.
I've GD and know how hard to stick to the diet really really hope you dischanged. testing 4 times is a pain and the side effects from the tablets are horrid. Note GD doesn't just happen due to poor diet lack of exercise or high bmi. my bmi 23 my starting weight pre pregnancy 59kg I'm now 69kg. fingers crossed for you.:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -
I think my body is in training for lack of sleep! Terrible insomnia last night. Went to bed about 12, eventually got at up 1.30 and lay on the sofa for a chance of scenery (I read once if you take more than 30 minutes to fall asleep then do something else for a bit). Sort of drifted then came back to bed. Can't get to sleep again... Back to sofa. Finally got to sleep around three and then woke up at 6.30.
What's that about!?! Now I'll be tired all day again, nap in the afternoon I won't be able to resist and the cycle starts again. Not happy.:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120
