just read the 28 week Mother care what your baby and you are doing at this stage update.... apparently mine should be getting ready for birth ie should be head down... ummm don't think anyone has told this little girl that no wonder the midwife said she was in a weird position. The little darling is transverse, and apart from the 23 week scan when she was breech she seems to have spent most of her time in that position. I wonder when I'm supposed to start getting worried about getting her moving.

I've been brave and phoned in sick, that's one stress thing over with, just need to phone the doctors when they're up and running.

Don't worry too much Lemon Tree my colleague who is due a few days before me, her baby was lying transverse too. The baby did turn eventually but I think she was about 37 weeks. You have time yet :) x

hello, will catch up when I can but can announce our baby 'lil HB' FINALLY arrived at 00:06am on Sunday 29th June weighing 9lb 2oz. We have called him James Christopher and can't believe he's ours!

Very sore atm, after being induced on the morning of the 27th and things progressing gradually they kept getting decelerations of his heart when I was fully dilated so had 10 mins to push him out with the aid of forceps and an episiotomy.I then lost a lot of blood and had to be on oxygen, have my BP monitored every 10 mins and have a blood transfusion. We just got home last night, still very weak and sore.

Will post a birth story when I can too, as it was nothing like I expected... my most popular spoken line between contractions was 'this is nothing like OBEM' lol x

    congratulations Sunshine, enjoy your hugs.

I've not really been a Dr Google'r during this pregnancy but thought I would check the whole transverse thing out, wish I hadn't now, but I'm sure little madam will move around by the time things get a bit more pressing, what will be will be I guess no point stressing about something yet.

I was transverse and my mum had to have a C section with me, but I think it is a very rare position - I think most babies do move. I was only that way as my mum has a bicornate uterus.

little bit of advice needed guys

ove rlast few days been quite sore, not painful as such. My lower abdomen has felt like a have done 300 sit ups (couldn't manage 3!!) and just a bit pulled. Is this normal/stretching?

    Worrying myself a bit xx

congratulations sunshine hope you and James Christopher are doing well.

time2deal hope you are managing to get lots of rest and that baby is showing no signs of coming out yet.

Glad your MIL has helped you feel better about things TCOD

Lemon Tree good to hear you are going to be getting some rest.

freshstart I've often felt like I've got pulled muscles so I'd say it's normal but if in doubt ring your midwife, or there should be a number for supervisor of midwives in your green notes. Depending on how far along you are you could alternatively ring maternity triage for advice.

Hugs to everybody feeling exhausted or low.

As it appears my baby has no intention of coming out I decided we should go out for lunch to cheer me up, so we went for a La Tasca at the Trafford Centre (using my loyalty card so 40% off food - very MSE). DS had some Disney Store vouchers that he got for his birthday so he chose a toy. I nipped in Holland and Barrett to get some Raspberry Leaf capsules to start natural eviction proceedings and the other day my sister recommended I get Arnica tablets as they help with internal bruising so got some of them too as H&B have a buy one get one half price offer. OH wanted a magazine so we popped in WH Smith, so I've been taking the consultants advice of lots of walking as everything was at different ends of the TC - not had so much as a twinge while we've been out. Back home now with my feet up as wouldn't want to be anywhere near the TC in rush hour!

I'm a bit late to the knickers discussion but I've went from size 10/12 thongs to size 16 Bridget jones / granny pants. I bought a pack of high legs yesterday which is nice for a change!
At 33 weeks & just over 2 stone gained so far I think I should invest in some size 20 granny pants for my hospital bag.

I also like the fact that they make less of my huge thighs & bum visible when I'm changing! Whoever mentioned the sight of cellulite a while back - I'm totally with you. My knees now meet & it just continues up to my bum! Never seen as many dimples in my life before!

Chin up (or chins in my case :rotfl:) to those ladies who are feeling low!
I'm not totally in love in with being pregnant but as the days go by I'm getting used to it & I keep reminding myself that I am so fortunate to actual be pregnant (making myself feel guilty basically!)
