Hugs laila. Someone on here recommended spatone as an iron supplement and I've noticed that I feel less exhausted now that I've been taking it for a few weeks. Are you able to schedule a little rest/ nap into your days to try and feel a little more rested? I think pregnancy is tough as mentally you still feel 'normal' and like you should be doing things/ not being 'lazy'/ looking fabulous/ not gaining weight etc. but baby and body both have a totally different idea. Hope you feel better soon. xx btw- nips as burgers describe the size of mine perfectly. When I said to OH how hideous and massive they were - like giant eyes- he said to me in a really creepy 'grandma wolf' voice "all the better to see you with".
This sounds stupid but what sort of knickers is everyone buying now? Mine still fit but they won't soon. I usually wear short style ones as they keep me covered up when getting changed in work. Do you reckon these will still be suitable or do you have to by mat knickers? If so where do they live?0 -
I don't think you need special maternity knickers. iv never actually heard of those just googled them! I just buy the multipacks from Asda they're called 'minis' I think that's what they're called most places actually. it's just personal preference I think. they're not so mini though hehe. my friend said through her 3 pregnancies she only found 'full briefs' comfortable (think Bridget jones) but I bought some and I didn't like them.0

I have switched from little shorts (in a 10-12) to minis (in a 16 ) as I found my bump was making the top of the shorts roll over, which was uncomfy. Initially I just got a multipack from primarni but then noticed they had a 25p knicker bin so got a few from there, plus some Bridget Jones pants for hospital bag. I didn't want to buy nice ones to encourage me to get my fat bum back in my old pants!0

Monty- when I was in m&p they told me that when they change the displays they can't sell the shop models for full price so they heavily discount them (50% usually). Might be worth asking babies r us/ mothercare if they do the same.
The manager of my m&p said that if you keep an eye on the window displays-when they change 9 times out of 10 whatever was in them (which was new out of the box) will be reduced. If you buy like this they will still keep hold of it for you until you want it and you're still covered under their refund policies.
Might be useful for anyone else to know too.0 -
I didn't think mat knickers were necessary but thought i'd best check! I think i'll have to stick with shorts though- for the sake of my poor colleagues!0

teaandcakeordeath When I work from home I can get a nap in at lunch time. I'm going to work from home tomorrow and luckily my boss is very understanding and he just tells me to take it easy. I feel bad though, like I am being lazy, even though I am not, I need the nap lol.
I think you described it perfectly, you try and carry on as normal as you aren't "ill" but then you end up feeling wiped out. I seem to go from sudden bursts of energy to not being able to do anything for a couple of days.
In regards to knickers, I tried the full briefs but found they cut into my legs, same with the shorts. I got high legs which are fine at the front but make my bum a weird shape lol. I wore minis before pregnancy so maybe I just need to try those in a bigger size.0 -
I'd just like to apologise to everyone for my ranting pity posts last night. It seems I kind of started something so I hope everyone else starts to feel better soon.
I had a much better day today which got better as the day went on, and even managed a 90 mile round trip tonight to a meeting. Just getting to bed now which means I'll probably be knackered and crying into my pillow tomorrow night again but fingers crossed I won't be!
Chin up everyone.
Special mention to Daisie.....take the time off, you don't need work adding to everything and making you ill. You've had a tough time and unless they can provide you with a stable working environment where you're not running about all over the place then it's not a place for you to be right now. Hope you feel better soon.No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
I read a skincare blog by a lady called Caroline Hirons, her advice was brilliant for my skin when my acne flared up in time for my wedding. She recently posted this: http://www.carolinehirons.com/search/label/c-sections which I liked a lot today. Thought I'd share.0

If anyone started anything it was probably me MrsC with my tizzy the other day! Lol. If we can't throw our own little pity parties here then we can't do it anywhere! At the risk of sounding mean- which I truly don't mean to!- I find it easier knowing that not everyone finds pregnancy easy! So used to seeing on tv/ films these pregnant women who glide through with fabulous skin/ bodies/ stress free etc.
Viva la pity party- as long as we then start to feel a bit better about venting.0 -
Thanks for the M&P info. There's one in there I love I'm hoping might end up discontinued and therefore reduced.0
