I feel for those of you waking at silly o'clock. I woke this morning thinking I'd had a great sleep then realised it was 4:55 yawn!!
I had managed to get back to 7am wake ups, mainly by lining our curtains with black out material. It's made a big difference and is prob a good thing for after baby arrives as well :). Would def recommend!

Teaandcake, seriously I can't believe you bent her tow bar at that sort of speed let alone hurt her neck etc. What a cow :(
I drove into someone's tow bar about a year ago, he was lovely about it & looked and said there had been no damage & he wasn't going to claim. The front of my car crumpled & damaged something in the engine, but hos car didn't look affected - I'd wonder whether the woman damaged the tow bar in her other crash & is just blaming you. Xx

    Morning ladies,

I'm afraid I'm going do a mahoosive queue jump here because my little man was born at 5.53am yesterday at 33+6. My water's went suddenly on Friday night so we went straight to hospital where they found out that I was 1cm dilated. They gave me a steroid shot and hoped nothing more would develop but overnight I had contractions and when they found out that I was 3cm dilated they took me in for an emergency section (baby was a footling breech so couldn't risk checking later and finding a foot coming out my foof).

He weighed a respectable 5lbs and didn't need any help. He still had to go to NICU though... if he was born 1day later (34 weeks) they wouldn't have bothered and he could have come straight through with me.

Hey ho, though. He's eating well through cup feeding but I'm hoping they'll release him today and I can give breastfeeding a go. I've been trying to express my colostrum but not very successfully!

Anyhoo, best wishes for all your little ones...I'll keep watching (particularly those from 12m+).

Wow Derby! Congratulations on your little man :)
  • Many congrats Derby!
  • Teaandcake - glad you and baby are ok, she sounds dodgy, the insurance company should send out an inspector to both vehiches and they should be able to say if the damage on both cars corresponds. I would also ensure you tell you insurance company about her unreported accident the previous day. I know you want to go private but do you need the hassle when pregnant. Especially as if they are claiming whiplash the cost could drag on. I did similar a few years back...she got out said no worries no damage, few days later I am contacted by ins company loads of damage and whiplash claims, I argued with ins but they paid out. Figure karma will bite her !!!!
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Aww many congrats derby2 on your little man xxxx

tcod... hugs. She sounds like a total opportunistic witch.. hope you get it sorted in the easiest way possible, I think it needs highlighting about her other bump as I think she'll otherwise lay everything on you, I'm sure they could determine which damage is down to which bump. I really can't be doing with these opportunistic money grabbers who claim whiplash injuries 30 seconds post-bump (to me that shows a liar as I don't think it's possible to get pain that early, like you said you felt it the next day)! Hope you and bump are OK and are looked after x

Just woke up and it seems OH is on the sofa, clearly pregnancy and hay fever make for bad snoring oops!

    Congratulations Derby enjoy your hugs.

I'm one on aspirin as well, my consultant didn't mention stopping it at all but I've got an appointment with her on the 1st so I will see what she says then. Must also remember to ask midwife about antenatal classes and when/ where I can find out about the hospital ones.

think I my just be getting OH to shift his derrier and get some jobs done, think we may just get the lino I the kitchen replaced today and get the units off the walls in the nursery so we can really get started with it. Just need to get him moving sometime today.
