Lovely to see you back Mrs_T_M. Hope the next few months go quickly and smoothly for you!
Robots glad you've finally seen your midwife.
Derby congratulations on the arrival of your little man, hope he is out of NICU soon and ou recover from your c-section quickly. Make sure you don't do too much too soon.. I couldn't express much to start with when DS was born, but as time went on the amount increased, also at my hospital they had a breastfeeding expert who came to see me and she was a big help so it might be worth asking if there's one at your hospital?
teaandcake it sounds to me that the woman is trying it on. I was hit by another driver with some force a few years ago (he was going too fast and lost control), and my car span and ended up on the other side of the road facing the other way, but strangely I felt OK. It wasn't until at least 12 hours later that I started to get really bad pains in my neck and back and ended up going to the hospital once I couldn't cope anymore, so in my experience it seems highly unlikely both her and daughter hurt their necks immediately. It must have been the accident the day before that did it. She's obviously wanting to make a whiplash claim.
I didn't want to claim whiplash after my accident, I just wanted the car repaired, but my insurance company told me to as I'd had to be seen at hospital. She'll have to go and see an independant doctor/consultant and go through the sequence of events and when she got the pains etc so they might discover she's trying it on, as my report said what I said was consistent with what would have been expected with that force of crash so if she's lying it may state that. Anyway, just leave it to your insurance company to sort out, you'll have to fill in forms for them and maybe draw a picture but you won't need to have any further contact with the woman. More importantly make sure you and baby are OK, if I were you I would take a few days off to rest and get checed out just to be on the safe side.
Bluebell sorry to hear you're having even more troubles with your builders, hope you get it all sorted and enjoy your conference.
I have to confess that I haven't done any housework since finding out I was pregnant, although OH does it all usually anyway, so when I announced I wasn't doing any as I was pregnant he asked how that was any different to normal. I did used to do the cooking but sometimes I refuse to do that too, although I have cooked the last 2 nights. I'm very lucky OH is far more domesticated than I am, I'd never make a housewife, but it suits us as I'll be the one going back to work full time while OH is a SAHD. He can work weekends in his job, which he might do depending on money as I'll work Monday-Friday when I go back.
Hope everybody else is doing OK - good luck to the boldies, hope you're not waiting much longer.0 -
Congratulations Derby!
I am feeling spectacularly rubbish today. My bump has dropped considerably this weekend, and my back feels tired. We are meant to be decorating - I managed about 20 minutes of sanding and had to abandon the idea. I am now in the bath as even a shower felt like too much effort. OH has been very sweet about it, and asked me to take the dog out for the day next weekend so he can crack on- I have planned a day at a local country park with a friend (who is also pg) and her toddler- I am thinking little potter around then park ourselves on a picnic blanket!0 -
Thanks Aqua. Know there's nothing I can do about it just so annoyed that it happened and that I know how this is going to go. Hopefully I won't lose all 9 years of my no claims. Just did a brief requote yesterday as though she claimed and they took off 3 years no claims (arbitrary figure plucked out of my head!) and it puts my insurance up by about £350. Only just got it down to £400 so pretty gutted about that. The more I think about it the more angry I get at her and her stupid 'my sore neck' balls. Think should probably go through insurance though as she'll sting me for the other damage on her car otherwise which I don't have the cash for (other than the money my grandparents just gave me for baby and she can have that over my dead body!) and she'll still prob put a whiplash claim in and i'm led to believe that'd come under the same claim as the bump. Pffff.
Went to a nearly new sale this morning. Got a walker, clothes, toys, a pair of purple leopard print shoes (no idea what i'll do if it's a boy- prob still make him wear them!) and a couple of water babies approved swim nappies with the disposables for under them thrown in for free. At least there's baby to cheer me up!

celebration times - Hubby has finally replaced our kitchen lino, it's only been rolled up in the garage for 2 years. Never thought I would celebrate the finding of maggots (eugh! think bin leaked) but it's given him the push. Theres still a bit to flatten out a little bit and seal down when he can get some spray adhesive but it's looking fab, and tomorrow he plans to take the cupboards off the walls in the nursery so we can get started on that. I did a little bit to help and directed where the crucial cuts should go in the lino, but couldn't do as much as I would normally do as I've got this thing in the way which keeps stopping me from leaning over/ bending down, wonder what that is lol I have got some knitting done though whilst sat in the shade in the garden.0

Well my weekend has been poop. Discovered two shoplifters in my shop, one of which I could have stopped if I had reacted quicker
. So the rest of the day has been filled with thinking through what I should have done which you just can't stop thinking about!!! And then I've come home and was meant to meet my OH at his friends house for a BBQ (first he just told me he was going by himself but then rang back to invite me too, hmmmmm!) but it's on lots of tiny streets the other side of town and even though he gave me a gps location and street name there was no gps signal and no road had the name I was looking for so I started getting teary cause I was already grumpy so I text him that I couldn't find it and was going home because I knew there was no point in ringing him to come out and find me cause I was in no mood by then to be sociable! So I've come home and had a mini cry, I'll have a shower now and then cheer myself up with the kardashians and towie later!

Congratulations Derby. Glad that although early everything is ok.
Cmace sorry about rubbish day.
I washed all the baby clothes today and going to pack babies bag ready for hospital. I need to think about packing my bag too. I'm 32+1 you don't think it's too early for this? All the baby apps have been telling me to get things packed.
Also has anyone done their antenatal classes yet? Mine start 3rd July for 4 weeks. The last one is only 2 weeks before my due date.0 -
Ah cmace rubbish - good news today is nearly over, surely tomorrow can only get better?
Disney - imagine you pack your bag when you like. Once it's done you don't have to think about it assuming you don't need to get things in and out?!
My first loaf of bread in the breadmaker went well so feeling very pleased with day. Also sorted out understairs cupboard. Good lord the rubbish DH keeps...
