Oh maybe she will do bloods then. I've only had one lot done at booking in. I've also not been measured so I guess she will do that too.

It's a half hour appointment, I can't possibly see what will take that long! Unless she will talk about birth plans etc?

credit_crunch that dress is GORGEOUS!! Obviously I don't know how it looks on you but I love it :T !!

daisiegg/LailaP I had bloods done at 28 weeks but I think it was more part of my GTT test than anything else as they rolled my midwife appointment and GTT in to one appointment. They did start measuring my bump at this point. Then I had my 31 week appointment recently where they did bp, pee test, baby hb test, felt the bump and measured my bump again. I think it's now the same at each appointment and she said at 36 weeks they will weigh me (not weighed since 12 weeks). I know every area is different but I hope that helps :) .

Forgot to mention my crazy dream!! I've had a few dreams where I've just had the baby (always seems to be breast feeding involved, I must be worried about it!) but last night I had a dream where I was at home, felt the baby's head coming down, then I felt his head actually come out a bit so I pulled him out, phoned 999 for an ambulance, and then he turned into a kitten  . Looked like my cat when he was a kitten! Bizarre.

I think I must be nesting, I just randomly decided that I needed to clean the washing machine. I've had the drawers out and cleaned them, scrubbed everywhere. I am going to regret that tomorrow I think as I am aching already.

Anyone got any tips for getting black mould off the door seal? I always leave the door open but it still appears! I've tried that Service It stuff too but that won't shift it. Can I use bleach?

Bizarre pregnancy dreams are so much fun! At least yours was family friendly....when I went back to sleep this morning I had the most disgusting, explicit, pornographic sex dream ever  and as if that is not bad enough, it was a lesbian sex dream...very strange as I am, as far as I am aware, straight! I woke up feeling disgusted at myself and vaguely betrayed by my subconscious coming up with such filth. It must be the hormones - my mind did not make that up all on its own! :o:o:o

credit crunch - have you tried Debenhams? Red Herring have beautiful dresses, I got this one for a do a few weeks ago and was so nice on... http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_119020212160_-1 there's a sale on too, very MSE :money: that said I think the one you already have is lovely and it's how you feel in it that counts.

LailaP I had blood taken at 28 weeks, and they start to measure bump. Maybe other things too, I have learned from these threads that antenatal care varies greatly from area to area! As for the mould... this stuff is amazeballs! http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/cleaning-laundry/household-cleaning/cleaning_products/-specificproducttype-multi_purpose/HG-Mould-Spray-500ml-10287856?skuId=10718562

I feel your pain re the heartburn time2deal I've had it really badly since about 18 weeks! I need shares in milk and nesquick powder! xx

Fab thank you, will go pick some up tomorrow. I am going to tackle defrosting the freezer next :rotfl:
  • Re heartburn - lidl own version of nesquick is lovely, 1/2 the price (& doesn't fund nestle)
+ I've found my adcal tablets actually really help :)

Re midwife apps... I've not had one in forever. She's cancelled on me the last two weeks :(
I've texted her, called the main office & asked for a phonecall app. But no success. It's bugging me. I really want to check I'm still supposed to be taking aspirin daily (nhs website says yes, but I vaguely recall hearing till 36wks as it thins blood so not great post-labour)
And I want to ask her about the odd tingling in my arms & hands when I inhale sharply. It lasts only a second. Googling hasn't helped, there's no info out there :(
Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.
