  • I feel for you to sunshine, I am not even due yet (38+2) but as ds was 2 weeks early I was convinced I would have had him by now.

CMace I had 2 above topline and then a scan and the scan although not 100% accurate indicated weight on 50 percentile.

  • Hi, I just thought I should introduce myself before I get evicted from the 12-24 thread! I'm 27+4 with my first and am hoping to have a home birth but doctors are throwing all their spanners at me...

Bit nervous coming onto this thread- this is the thread where people have their babies!

Could someone please add me to the list? I'm on a tablet in the middle of a field and it doesn't like me trying to add myself!

Laila - yes, Reynauds can make breastfeeding very challenging. I have supported mums who have it and it can cause severe pain and blanching in the nipples (vasospasm), and the pain can last for hours after a feed while the blood flows back in. It is a challenging condition to feed with.

Just for info for anyone reading, as I know you have made your decision about feeding, there are some strategies for dealing with the vasospasm here http://kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mother/nipple-blanching/

    Hello ladies!

Well, to my shock I am finally on the big thread. :) Lovely to be here and hope to be here as long as possible while my little man cooks.

I'm due on 8 October, and as mentioned I'm team blue. I'll update the list and add the shy TCD as well. Congrats TCD on finally having the courage to move up. ;)

Hi ladies, sorry to have gone AWOL!! I have been trying to read but its hard to post on my phone!
So last Sunday 8th June I had really bad itching on my hands and feet. I made a go appointment on Monday and she referred me to the antentel unit at the hospital on Tuesday. They did lots of tests and mointered baby. Sent me home. On Wednesday they called me back and said my liver function was raised and I needed to go for more tests. They eventually sent me home. Called me on Thursday to go back as they found lots of protein in my urine. Baby kept wiggling so they couldn't do a trace so sent me for a scan. Baby's fine but was measuring off the chart for everything,!! Estimated weight at 35 + 2 was 9lb 15oz!!! Eek!! They were happy with all the tests and and my bp is perfect. So sent me home. Friday they called and said pack an overnight bag and come in.

So after all that they admitted me as baby has turned transverse as well!! Diagnosis is as well as gestational diabetes I also have obstetric cholastasis and a big baby in the wrong place!!! I'm here until they perform a c section next week at 37 +1 unless baby is in distress before so very sorry but I'll be queue jumping a few ladies!!!!
If anyone has really bad itching please get it looked at. The care in have received has been top notch and I cannot fault the hospital or staff at all. Its also really clean And the midwives friendly. I'm in city hospital, Nottingham if anyone wants to know.

Good luck to those who are due and congratulations to those who have just had their babies.
Love to you all, Mrs muffin xxxx
  • Good to hear you're being well looked after mrsmuffin. Fingers crossed everything goes well for you and you get to wait until 37+1.

    Thanks for the welcome.

T2D- thanks for adding me to the list. This iPad is gonna get launched in a min if it carries on being a pita! Just so you know- I may have moved to the big girl thread but I still haven't agreed that this baby is coming out! Lol. I do hope it starts to sink in soon! How did work take you staying on bed rest? Hope they're still supporting you. :)
