BF doesn;t hurt if it's done right - you may surprise yourself when the time comes :) It always lovely to let them latch on after birth even if you're not planning to BF, because it calms them and helps the placenta come out, and colostrum is such great stuff even one colostrum feed will really make a difference.

I think boobs are often more painful in pregnancy because of all teh hormones. Those do settle down once baby comes out which can really help, whichever feeding method you choose.

It probably doesn't hurt for most people but sadly painful boobs is something that has plagued me for years so I know it will not be an option for me. :( I don't know why it is, I literally cannot bare them to be touched :o I wondered if it was connected to my Raynauds but never got to the bottom of it.

Hope your scan went well today x

Hugs to Robots x and one else that needs them for that matter.

    Welcome Peonie

I am in a much better mood today, managed to work from home and get some much needed napping in too. Feeling a bit sad as hubby is away for a couple of nights tomorrow and I'm really clingy at the moment

    Thanks for the lovely welcome.

Laila, how did they diagnose your raynauds? For years I've wondered if I've had it.

My GP diagnosed it. He only had to feel my icy hands :rotfl: It can be a symptom of other conditions so I had loads of bloods tests but it's been confirmed as primary Raynauds. It did get worse in the 1st trimester as I had to come of my meds but the last few weeks it's improved a lot, in part due to the warm weather but also apparently the increased blood flow in pregnancy.

    Welcome Peonie!

Offically fed up. 3 days over now! Midwife has been round and did a sweep but she said the cervix was still pretty much closed and not 'favourable'. Meh. She said to keep active, so sitting on my bouncy ball while making some cards, but I just get the feeling my little man is going to have to be evicted!

Booked for an induction next Friday 27th June, when I'll be 12 days over, hope he comes before then though...

I feel for you sunshine81!! Especially with this weather! People are saying 'poor you in this heat' to me but I haven't really been struggling I thought, but when I think about it I have felt dizzy on occasions for the last couple of days which could be because of the heat?

32+2 today and just come back from my MW appointment. Everything fine but baby is still on that top line on the growth chart! Should have been above the line based on the measurement the other lady did but I noticed she just marked it on the line, probably to avoid having to take action :p .
