You could consider slinging your toddler on your back, and using a pram for the baby. If you got a soft structured carrier, either full or half buckles (like a connecta or Ergo) it would be easy and quick to put him on your back when he is tired.

First catch your toddler ;) Seriously though, hubby and I have both got back problems, so a few kg of little baby should be manageable, but 15kg of toddler would be a bit of a challenge!

Glad your blood pressure dropped Firey! Mine was really high on one midwife visit but it was because my arm wasn't totally relaxed. Went back and had another go, and it was fine. hopefully yours will behave itself from now on!

26 weeks today :) I had 3 people actually noticing and commenting yesterday, but it was more along the lines of 'oooh have you got something to tell us?'

Thanks for the opinions on cots & newborns over the last few days.
We are going to try baby in the cot in our room. Just ordered a mattress & sheets from mothercare. (Using quidco & £10 off voucher)

Co sleeping isn't for me & baby will be in our room for a few months b 4 going into their own room.

    Hi Ladies,

Just catching up, nothing to report really!

On subject of cots. I have brought a mamas and papas cot bed off eBay for £50 which is already up in our bedroom but now trying to get in and out of bed is a bit of a nightmare.......:o

It might end up getting put back on eBay! I have told OH we can take it down and store it back under bed until baby is older but he insists it won't fit under the bed....

We have to have baby in our room as our 2 spare bedrooms are taken up by his 2 children we have here half the time but unless we can find a decent sized house to move into next year for a cheap amount they might have to share a room for a little bit.

I am struggling to walk far already, think its the extra weight and my 5ft1 frame disagreeing.... 30 weeks on Tuesday think I will need a zimmer frame soon! :o

:rotfl: I said that too. Then I just ended up falling asleep mid-feed and would wake and go 'oh, DS is still in our bed'. He eventually moved to his own room when I stopped breast feeding at 15 months. I'm gong to try and avoid #2 sleeping in our bed this time around, but I'm not really sure how to keep awake...!

Well that's my Lindt chocolate bar finished (treat from DH). I can thoroughly recommend caramel and sea salt flavour :) I was at work today and I'm shattered, so off to bed now I think! I'm back in work on Tuesday and just doing 3 days next week, hopefully that'll be a bit less tiring.

I can guarantee baby won't sleep in our bed - my SIL lost her 2 week old DD just a matter of weeks ago. Was feeding & 3.5 hrs later, baby was gone.

Cot death has many 'explanations' & 'situations' but to be honest what happened to my niece has absolutely terrified me! And I know it can happen co sleeping or in their cot but that's just my opinion on it.

I have friends who love co sleeping but it's just not for me.
I think if I had other kids & felt like I knew what I was doing, it may be a different story x

Is anyone else getting a lot of rudeness from people? I am beginning to lose count of the times people have said to me "You're massive!" (I'm actually not) or "You're really waddling now!". And today my CHURCH PASTOR of all people actually MIMICKED the way I'm walking at the moment! I find it really rude and upsetting. Is this happening to anyone else? And how do I deal with it without looking all hormonal?

I had this to which I reply every pregnancy is different and the mws and doctors have told me the baby bang on what they would like for this stage in the pregnancy and their the experts!

    Thanks ladies.
    It's scared me beyond belief!
I have never had a close family bereavement never mind such a young wee life but my SIL is coping well (all things considered) so I think that helps the rest of us deal with it & grieve if that makes sense?

Let's not bring the thread down as it's not often things like that happen really. And I didn't intend to frighten anyone so apologies for that. I like to think that my baby will have its own guardian angel :A

I worry about everything & panic may as well be my middle name! On that note anyone had strange baby related dreams? I've had 3 over the last fortnight or so - I bled in one, cord was round baby's neck in another, and the other one I had the baby but couldn't remember anything about the labour & baby was just plonked on my chest right under my chain & I dint notice until I went to sit up!

I will be 30 weeks on Tuesday & sleeping is slowly becoming a luxury, as is regular bowel movements & getting comfortable in general! :D
But I am sure you will all agree you wouldn't have it any other way
