    Debt-free and Proud!
    Welcome lollypop :)

I am 33 weeks today :D Still feels a long way away but then again there is so much to do I guess the time will fly by!

    I need to:
    Write birth plan
Sort out stuff for home birth
Sort out stuff for transfer bag JIC
    Wash newborn clothes
Tidy spare room so there is somewhere to put the newborn clothes!
    Batch cook

And non-baby-related: do two assignments, write an article or two, alter a prom dress, replace a zip in a pair of trousers, tidy my bedroom, sort my DD's clothes as she's growing out of things, post Father's Day card and gift, deliver friend's baby card and gift, sort Father's Day card and gift for DD to give OH, fill in a DBS form, sort out my re-registration for the Breastfeeding Network.

So just a few things to get on top of then!

Have I missed anything off the baby list? What is everyone else's to do list looking like?

Well, I've been AWOL a while but with no good reason so sorry for the mahoosive post! I just seem to have been really busy, I had an exam, been getting everything ready for baby, just stuff really. This morning I spent 3 hours ironing baby clothes blankets etc and am gutted that somehow my favourite next tshirt for lil HB has got weird brown stains all over it! I'm really tempted to buy another it's peed me off loads!

OH's mother has been ringing daily to check how I'm feeling and to make sure I'm not driving or going anywhere! No love I'm just sat indoors guzzling milk to help with heartburn and munching copious amounts of @ldi choc chip cookies! Now 39+2! I want him to come now, I hope when I see the midwife on Thursday she says he's more engaged. I really don't want to be here at 41+, but get a weird feeling I might be, I don't even think I've had that many braxton hicks... though when they do happen there are quite a few in a row.

Skintchick it sounds like you'll be kept busy with that to do list. I can't think of anything else you might need to do. I need to give my mum a spare key for our house (so she can pick up anything I need when we are at hospital), finish ironing his clothes, and perhaps send my OH for a pack of newborn sleepsuits as I only seem to have a few – I have got some 0-3mth ones but don't know if they will be OK at the start? Non-baby related I have to do some washing (but I can't put it outside as next door are having some work done and it seems all the dust is drifting in my garden's direction), write an essay, fix the door on the built in wardrobe with superglue, make some fathers day cards and a 50th birthday card and chill out with some cross stitch while I can!

Just wanted to say thanks for links and recommendations on slings, I'm hoping to get to a sling library soon after baby comes so I can try and few out for size as I can see the benefits. It's a minefield! Talking of shopping, I ended up with this one (free from doing swagbucks!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007LYUOQS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but I guess you'll never know how good bag is until you try to use it.

Re the sleeping thing, we have a crib upstairs and a moses basket for downstairs. HOPING that lil HB will last several months in a crib, we live in a one bed cottage and really want to move before he needs to be in a cot, as then he'll need his own room. Well I know people have a cot in their room but it'll just feel too chaotic for me and besides I want him in his own room before I go back to work (when he is about 7 months). The co-sleeper cots look good though. credit_crunch that's so awful to hear, I know of someone that happened to also when their daughter was 6 weeks old. It's just unimaginable and I hope your SIL gets the support she needs.

Aquamarine – hope you enjoy your shopping trip! The last few weeks do seem to creep up on you, I think my hospital bag wasn't fully done until last week!

Firey – is the group B strep thing sorted now? Hope you're feeling a bit more relaxed than you sounded the other day, it's a good think they sent you to hospital over high BP better to be safe than sorry x hope the bees get sorted, my OH had a flat when we first met and they took over the kitchen... seriously there were hundreds and he couldn't use the kitchen at all.

Skintchick – urgh to the whooping couch vacc. I had it at 28 weeks, luckily with no side effects. Hope you were OK with it, I know lots of people report dead arms and painful arms and stuff but I think it's worth it for the protection. The dress you got is lovely, hope the wedding went well and you did resolve the seam issue. I don't get people who feel it's OK to comment on pregnant womens bumps, don't they realise how insensitive it is? I had three people comment – one was a patient at my work so I could just ignore it when he said (about 30 weeks) that I was wobbling instead of walking now! One was my younger sister, but then the other was a woman at work. She had been saying regularly throughout my pregnancy that my bump was big. One day I got all stressed about reduced movement, went to hospital and got referred for a growth scan. Then that week she commented twice how I had stopped growing, well that sent me over the edge and I cried! The growth scan was absolutely spot on but it just showed that people really don't think!

Bluebell – did you meet the builder? Sounds like something you really don't need right now!

Derby2 – bless you! Do you want adding to the list yet? Don't feel bad about ditching work in order to check out your baby's welfare, my team leader told me at the start that pregnant women are 'untouchable' and even though that's not exactly true it did help to eliminate the tiny bit of guilt I felt every time I called in sick or went in late for baby-related reasons.

Anyname – did you get the GTT results? Hope they came back -ve. I'm envious you only had to fast for 6 hours, in my area it's a strict 12 hours, and I'm most hungry in the mornings. By the time it was over I'd had no food for about 14.5 hours so treated myself to a big fat McD's!!

LailaP, Dinah93, lollypopswater added you just hope I got the details right!

    39+2 xx

eeek sunshine you are in the top 5 of the list, and me and lara are in the top 10! scary stuff, I remember when I was down in the 40's

I haven't received the group B strep test yet but I'm going to ring them tomorrow if it doesn't arrive! iv left it a bit late really so I want to get it done with and sent off. as for the bees a pest control company came today to spray, they were in our cavity walls! so I'm currently camped out at my mums as I felt like I could hear angry buzzing everywhere and I'm trying to keep my stress levels down, ha.

iv got that same changing bag! but in black and white, I'm only picking it up tomorrow from tesco so I'm hoping it's nice, I just wanted a polka dot changing bag really, I struggled finding one I liked!

I have not had any braxton hicks at all, I hope that doesn't mean baby is too comfortable in there hehe.

Oh my god just weighed myself for the first time since the 12 week scan and I've put on 2 stone  . I was 57kg and am now 70kg!! I was round my mums so first told her that her scales werent working but then she tried them and they were fine! I haven't really put on any weight other than my bump so that bump must weigh a fair bit! No wonder I've got a bad back! Ive got 9 more weeks of bump to put on too :o .

hi, I've taken today off as flexi as I was hit by a wave of pure exhaustion yesterday at work, and then sickness because of the heat. I've done a fair bit of sleeping in the last 24hrs but still feel so very tired. It's one of the only things I've suffered with from the very start.

Today I've finished knitting a bolero cardi to match my babies coming home dress, and have sewn the buttons onto a jacket I knitted for winter. They both look very cute. Just got to knit the matching hats now when I can find patterns.

Hope everyone is managing to stay cool in this heat.

Cmace, as I've been told a few times, you need to step away from the scales, I've driven myself loopy with what I have or haven't gained by x number of weeks. I'm sure if it's all bump there will be a vast amount lost when you finally have your baby. If the midwife was worried I'm sure she'd say something to you.

Thanks for all the welcomes and for adding me to the list.

    hi lollypopswater

cmace2 If it makes you feel any better I've done at least a stone and a half and I'm only 24 weeks :o

Lemon Tree Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish. You sound very organised with your knitting. I've managed a couple of bits but really need to pull my finger out. I've only just taught myself though so am very slow.

Looks like we've finally got a confirmed moving date of 25th of July which is much later than we hoped but hey, at least it's happening and I feel like I can plan a bit more now.

I also found out today that because I've been at my company for 5 years in December that I get an extra days leave this year and 3 next year so along with Bank holidays carried over and 6 days leave means I get an extra couple of weeks on the end of my maternity leave so pretty chuffed about that.

Apologies for my absence, seems I spent far more time on forums when I was at work than I realised, oops! Now I am on maternity leave seem to have less time and trying to keep up on a tablet/phone is much harder!

Hope we get some birth announcements soon, can't believe I am in the top 10 now!

Will haveba good read back of the thread and attempt personals tomorrow!

Thanks lemon tree and Laila P. I'm more scared now because my mum then sent stats of her four pregnancies and I've already put on more weight now than she did full term! Here is my bump, hope the pic works:
