thanks, I found it yesterdaypretty helpful although whoever wrote it is quite opinionated I thought! haha. iv added a few things to my list anyway.
just back from my 36 week midwife appointment, all was good apart from she said my blood pressure was a bit high so I have to go back next week instead of in 2 weeks. anybody else had this? she didn't seem too worried so I suppose I shouldn't be, but I can't help it I'm a right worrier at the moment!
I asked her about some sort of birth plan she said 'oh yeah just write in your notes what you'd like' and that was it! that counts as going through your birth plan is apparently. ha.0 -

Then she turned by herself although I did the Spinning Babies stuff for a few weeks beforehand. There is still time. Are you both doing Spinning Babies? If not I can post the link (or you can google).
I have been doing a bit of the spinning babies stuff, mainly lying on an inverted board with frozen peas on one side of my tummy and a warm compress on my pelvis! It definitely seems to give baby more room to move which is making me slightly reconsider having the ECV.Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -
Has anyone else collected the Emma Diary packs, just got mine from Argos and free samples of Aldi Nappies and wipes great size for hospital bag (pack of 4 nb nappies )and some mini johnsons.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. I got my Emma's diary pack from Boots and it had a full pack of wipes and Johnsons products, but no nappies.0

Going to see Dr this afternoon as my pelvic/hip pain is really getting to me now. Haven't bothered with paracetamols as they do nothing and not too keen on taking other meds but with a serious lack of sleep now I'm not coping as well.
Moonbabe - I'm pushing for a planned c-section due to previous pelvic/hip surgery and they're going to hopefully agree with me on my next consultant appointment on 1st July. Whilst it's a big operation, I would much rather go through that than risk a natural birth only to end up with a section anyway. My reasons are different than yours as there could be long-term implications in a natural birth on my hip but I'd much rather know it's going to happen and prepare myself for it. x0 -
Skintchick, I have been doing the spinning babies recommendations and by some miracle it must have worked. Baby is now head down! Apparently there are no gaurentees that she won't flip the wrong way again though.
Moonbabe, I'm keeping everything crossed for you too.
Emmaj - good luck. Thinking of you
Skintchick -BH already? You poor thing (maybe baby is getting ready to arrive early....?)
Raspberry - hope the dr can give you something to help you get some sleep. Sounds awful0 -
hello all, been reading but not had chance to write until now. Currently nursing a cold, whining about sciatic and pelvic pain while lying in the bath with the kindle lol! Little HB has been partying in my tummy all morning! OH wakes up every morning now and says 'could be today!' at 37+5 I'm happy hanging on a bit longer before our lives change forever thanks very much!
Nothing much going on around here, hospital bag now packed (with the exception of baby clothes that need to dry, where's that sun when you need it!) A couple of deliveries arrived yesterday so now we are totally "HB ready" lol! that said i do keep thinking of other things we might 'need', OH goes mad every time he sees me scanning ebay!
moonbabe I've been reading your posts, thinking of you and hoping you get all the answers you need to make the right decision for you x
emmaj thinking of you... the first 12 weeks are the hardest IMHO, try to take one day at a time and get some rest. there's a 'less than 12 weeks pregnant' thread too where you'll get loads of support from people who are in the early days too. would you like adding to our list? do you have a due date yet?0 -
ps raspberry swirl hope you get what you need from the docs, I've got sciatic pain up/down one leg then pelvic pain too, turning over in bed is almost impossible now either OH has to help me or it takes 10 mins to turn over in which time you often hear a snap! not good when it wakes you up several times a night, i haven't been able to put my own leggings underwear socks etc on for weeks because of it. yet when i tell a midwife she just dismisses it as normal hormonal changes that will resolve themselves after birth! grr!
also, tmi but all 'down there' feels really tender, how can i get a baby through there when it even hurts just to touch? typical man my OH thinks its because we havent DTD for weeks and doing it daily would help!0 -
