  • I haven't had the linear negra either, I think it's something to do with pigmentation and as I'm really fair skinned I haven't got it. My friend with olivey skin had a really dark one.
No spots for me but I do have more downy hair on my belly than usual!!

Well that's me next up in the family lol, my cousins wife had a lil girl on Friday and now it's all ' You next'... I also thought I was due in 8 weeks but its 6 lol... so scatterbrained !!

Got decorator coming out on Wednesday so looking forwards to that being done then going for the carpet at the weekend :D Just curtains to find but will wait til rest of room is done as not sure wether to go bright or not it depends on how it all looks. Then its mission 'build the furniture' commence.

How frustrating. Not sure what you can do apart from put your feet up, get your DH to clean the house, and try to relax!?

DH is the main cleaner anyway! I've been doing plenty of relaxing, wonder if I'm so relaxed the little dude is quite happy to chill with me?! :p I can't see it happening any time soon TBH, neither bump nor body feel ready yet! :o

I haven't got the linea negra, but I have got a furry belly and a few little spots, almost like rash spots instead of proper spots IYKWIM. Very attractive! :p

Saw your post about your accident on the FB group Smartcat, but I am gutted for you. I'm sure the hospital will do everything they can and you'll find so many friends and family willing to go above and beyond to help you. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Birdie that sounds like the little spots I have on my belly.

I also have the downy hair by my ears and even though it's fair hair so you can't really see it, it's making me a bit paranoid, I feel like I've got sideburns :(

I'm very fair skinned so no linea negra for me.

Those of you saying your bumps are hairier, are you just talking about downy fine hair or something more? If it's more are you team blue, as I've heard it's the testosterone but wondered if that was an old wives tale?

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and one of the hardest things I've done all week was to give myself a pedicure today! OMG it was hard work and a bit messy. :rotfl: It's amazing how much I've grown (and not just the bump), how I've slowed down and everything's become more cumbersome in the last week.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
  • So just got round to packing my hospital bag (36+2)

    Here's what I've done:

    Bag 1 (baby)
    3 x vests, 3 x sleepsuits, 2 x hats (1 cotton, 1 knitted), 2 x scratch mitts, 2 x muslins, 1 x pack of nappies, 1 x pack baby wipes, 1 x blanket, 1 x pramsuit (in case cold when coming home).

    Bag 2 (Me)

1 x Button Up Nightshirt (for labour/post labour), Backless Slippers, 1 x pair of socks, 4 x big knickers (!), 2 x packs maternity pads, 1 x tube nipple cream, selection of breast pads, lip balm, hair bobbles...
Still to pack: Towel, toiletries, kindle, CDs/iPod, snacks, camera, phone/charger
Need to buy: Nursing bras - hopefully get fitted for these next week.

Also thinking of packing a t-shirt or something to wear in case I use the birthing pool - I dont have much swimwear... I bought a Tankini early in pregnancy but its a killer to get on and off and I wont want to faff around with that while I'm in labour! I won't get another one now as bikini tops that can fit my big b00bs are generally expensive so I'm just thinking of just putting on a t-shirt to preserve whatever dignity I have left!

Leaving hubby to pack his own bag!!

What do you think? Reckon I've missed anything important?? x

When you do toiletries do not forget lip balm. And have some change, when I was in labour I wanted something from the vending machine!

  • The hair on my bump is really light and fluffy! I have absolutely no hair growing on my legs which I think is a good sign that I'm definitely expecting a girl. (previously Id have to shave daily as I have really dark hair!)
My friend had very expensive laser treatment to remove all her leg hair but when she got pregnant it all grew back!! She was gutted. She had a boy!!
