  • Oh and with nursing bras I think they said it would be one size smaller than you are at the moment - I've gone up from a 32b to a 36cc and they said I will probably go up to a 36-38d by the 37-38 week mark, so they said the nursing bras will probably need to be 36c ish - but don't take my word on that, I'm definitely going to go back and get refitted just in case I wasn't listening to her properly!!

Claire I got a pack of these from m&s when I got measured up. They're padded and wireless.

The comfort bras are great, but prob not supportive enough for all the time.

I've got a couple of these nursing bras, they're made to fit various sizes and the lady in the shop told me to try it on and see if I could comfortably fit a fist in the cup to allow for growth. :)

Still not a single sign of the baby coming! Apart from waking up with period pains for every day this last week... but since it happens every day I'm not even noticing it now! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Yeah Im thinking I might just stick with the £6 one I got from Aldi and perhaps buy one of those cheap emma Jane ones, and then try to get out of the house after about a week to buy something because I dont get how you can possibly guess what size you are gonna be!

Or I guess the alternative is to order a trillion different sizes, to arrive after the birth then get DH to return the ones I dont want! Might be the best idea actually as I cant imagine Ill want to be bra shopping after the birth.

I'll be having to order various back and cup sizes!

Yeah thinking I might order one of those to use until I get fitted properly as the cup size is one size fits all.

How frustrating. Not sure what you can do apart from put your feet up, get your DH to clean the house, and try to relax!?

I think I'm going to do the same, buy a cheapy nursing bra to start with and then see what size the ladies actually are once my milks in!!

Thanks, I don't think they had those in my store or at least I didn't see them, I tried on a white 2 pack for 12.50 and this blue patterned pack. I might go in again in the week as I was in a rush yesterday.

Is anyone else breaking out in spots on their chest?

It's really annoying me it looks horrible!

  • Hi ladies,
    Thinking of you Birdie.
For anybody who hasnt seen the FB group I fell down the stairs on friday and broke my ankle in 2 places. Im in pot and crutches at the minute but need operating on but they want baby our first so going up to the hispital for an assessment tomorrow about sweep or induction. Once baby is out I can be operated on.
Not at all what we planned. Looks like breastfeeding might not be an option due to post op painkillers and water birth no longer feasable.
Gutted to say the least. In a lot of pain but hopefully ill be seen about the ankle as well tomorrow.
Hubby being amazing, has turned into a full time carer for me.
On the topic of bras I got some sleep bras from mothercare and they have been brilliant for sleeping in with a pair of jama bottoms as I get so hot at night. They have clips on as well for folding down for feeding.
    April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£150
  • Hi smartcat I saw your FB post, I'm so glad that your baby is ok, it could have been much worse :( it really sucks though that now you might not be able to do a lot of the stuff you had planned I.e. Water birth. I hope you feel better and that they can do what they need to do to ensure you still have as smooth a birth as possible. I hope they would be able to give you painkillers that don't interfere with breast feeding but I know nothing so I'm a bit clueless really!

My tummy is definitely really hairy, no spots on my chest but I have been getting some spots under my belly button which is rather random! I haven't had this line that everyone keeps talking about though - think it's called the linea niagra or something?
