Glad you're feeling better MSA, your weekend in bed sounds lovely! :)

AFM: They won't induce until Term + 13, so that'll be next Sunday. :(

Moonbabe- cramp is common and yet another one of those things that preggos have to put up with!

ETA: Just checked my e-mail and got an e-mail about my 1 week old baby! How's that for a kick in the teeth?! ;)

moonbabe I was suffering badly with cramps in the early-mid 20 weeks stages.... it's not much comfort, but the midwife said there's nothing they can do, and not to worry, they will pass! I was getting them so that my legs would hurt all day and I'd limp around looking like a proper drama queen!!!
I'm 38+3 now, and I don't get them much, usually only if I stretch too much when I wake up! I have to stretch my legs in stages. :)

  • Moonbabe, totally normal I'm afraid! Another sufferer here. I've found the best thing to do is slowly flex your foot upwards and poke your OH hard until they wake up to massage it for you :D Apparently bananas are supposed to help too as it *can* be related to low potassium levels (I think) but I can't stomach them at all these days, so don't know if that's true.

Hugs to all those who need them. Birdie, fingers crossed things get going for you soon!

  • Birdie to be honest it's probably a good thing they aren't rushing to induce you, hopefully baby will come before then :)

That email would have narked me off no end!

My weekend in bed is going rather wonderfully so far :) though I have a couple of times felt the urge to get up and do some bits (just sorting out baby's toiletry box etc....stuff I could have technically done in bed anyway) and been royally told off by OH and instructed to stay in bed, so it looks like I literally will be doing nothing at all this weekend!!

I'm my own worst enemy really, even feeling rubbish like this I still can't sit still for longer than 10 minutes and it's unheard of for me to still be in bed past 9am on a weekend, let alone 11:45....

Watch out for post from boots parenting club - I got a circular from them congratulating me on the birth of my baby when I was ten days over. They did include some Vouchers so it wasn't all bad!

So sorry Birdie, I got bounty and boots e-mailing me last time I was pregnant as I went further and further over due date (she was born at +12) and it really annoyed me!

Also got annoyed with friends and family texting and asking about when the induction was because I didn't want one. I had an appointment that I didn't go to the day I started labour (+11 I was in early labour at the time but just pottering at home) and I guess they would have tried to book an induction then.

Still just hoping my little man does not do the same to me!

I am definitely losing some plug now. Forgot how gross all this stuff is!

Sorry to hear some have had a crap few days, hopefully coming out on the other side now :) I like the sound of a lazy weekend - not very good at those though.

AFM - 33 weeks today, last day of work on Monday (7 weeks annual leave before mat leave) and feeling very grateful for it (I won't miss the several flights of stairs!). Have chosen and booked my leaving lunch and am worried I'll be an emotional wreck on my last day plus slightly daunted by the prospect of not working again till 2015 because I'm institutionalised.

It's probably pre-move nerves too - I find it fascinating that so many of us take it on while heavily pregnant. I'll be at least 36 weeks when we move and am looking at all the stuff which needs packing up with trepidation!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Finding it so hard to find a bra that can last for the next few weeks.

As I've got small boobs I've just worn normal ones up until about a week ago as the wires barely touch them anyway. However I noticed the other day one bra I can no longer wear as the wire was starting to rub on the side so decided to buy some non wire ones - but still want ones that are a bit padded partly for shape and partly incase of leakage!

So normally I'm a 32 back but I'm now measuring as a 36. I ended up getting a pack of both 34 & 36 bras from Primark but one is rubbing a bit and not that comfortable after a day of wearing it. So today I tried on 5 bras in debenhams & 2 in m&s but none were right and I was so annoyed as it means I'm left with the Primark ones until I can find something else!

34 feels rather tight, 36 is slipping a bit or in some cases feels comfortable but because I'm quite petite whatever cup size I try in a 36 it's like rubbing up high near my arm pit like I'm not tall enough or something?!

I said to DH maybe I'll just wear padded string bikinis before I start wearing nursing bras! Too early to get them now so I'm stuck at a weird in between stage! And don't want to spend loads if my back size goes down once my bump goes after the birth.

Sorry bit of a bra essay there!

Claire have you tried a sports bra/crop top style? I found them the comfiest in late pregnancy and still wear them now when I'm home alone (breastfeeding but just pop one out ;)) and as sleep bras to keep the pads in place in between feeds.

    Thinking of you Birdie :)

Can't believe my little man is 4 weeks old today!

There are the kind I've been wearing the last few weeks, the sort that are often on shopping channels. My back has also increased from a 30/32 to 36 and I find these comfy, as well as cheap! You can get padded ones too, I'm sure I saw some in Debenhams. In fact I'll admit I bought one in the £shop, and it's been absolutely fine for me.
