How timely! I just logged in to let you all know that my little princess, Evelyn Mary was born on her due date at 7pm weighing 7lbs1oz.
Waters went in bed at 2.30am and I laboured at home for 14 hours before going in to the birth centre. By 6pm I was 6cm dilated and in the pool, 15 minutes later I felt the need to start pushing and by 7pm she was here with just gas & air for the last half hour. Amazing experience, I couldn't have wished for better.
We came home yesterday afternoon. I haven't slept since 2.30am Monday as we're having BF problems but hopefully the midwife will be here soon to help me with my latch.
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -

I will probably buy DS a small pressie maybe a book or colouring bits.
Wow chelseablue, hope they appreciate you for staying on.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. congratulations sk! that sounds like a great labour!
and what a particularly lovely middle name if I do say so :rotfl:
Sophiasmum I have considered it but haven't bought anything yet, I don't really know what to get that he would believe is from the baby.
Chelsea you're incredibly brave to work so late, just think it will knock on meaning that you get more time off with the little man the other end of maternity.
It can be hard to say no to employers as you don't want to be seen to be leaving them in the lurch.
I was supposed to be working until 9 May but started maternity yesterday. I've very nearly finished a huge bit of coursework which comprises of six different pieces of work, but have exams coming up too. I've barely looked at the materials as I was always at work late, sometimes I didn't get home till 11pm after a 9:20am start and didn't have time to get any work done.
My big boss wasn't happy that I went a few days early. I wanted to tell him to f off, especially as I've had all my midwife appts on saturdays so as to avoid missing work. Ungrateful git lol!0 -
Hope I've done this right!Due date list

thanks to those posting the lists! I'm slowly creeping up...arghhh!
had my GTT test today which was fine, the worst bit was the waiting room which was boiling hot and stuffy! I won't find out for another few days if everything's okay. also tonight me and my boyfriend went to our first antenatal class. we are just doing the nhs ones. I was the most pregnant there which surprised me. can't say I learned much but the midwife was really nice. definitely glad I went though
33 weeks today.0 -
Hi everyone
Can I join please?
Due date 19th August & team yellow (just incase anyone is updating the lists)
Congrats on the recent births! I still find it hard to believe that I have gotten this far if I'm honest :-)0 -
Hey everyone,
Just popping in to see how you ladies are getting on - congratulations on the recent births!
Chloe is getting on really well, breast feeding is going good - got milk coming out my ears - I do feel like a cow though lol.
Chloe is waking for her feeds but I don't feel too tired, just taking it slowly. OH made me laugh yesterday by telling me he was 'really tired' ..... if only he knew. He is being amazing though.
Keeping my eyes out for the next birth announcements.
Good luck neverdespairgirl with your sweep xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Out of your ears? You want to get that looked at lol! Seriously though I'm glad Chloe is doing so well
Your made re your OH made me laugh! It reminds me of when we had Dylan and someone asked how the birth went - my husband said "oh it was awful!" I felt like saying "awful for who lol?!" :rotfl:0 -
congratulations SexKi11en - so glad your daughter is here with you at last
x
Yay and welcome to Credit_crunch - on the final board now
Glad all is going well SamToby.....strange as it may sound I am looking forward to bfeeding baby! Didn't have any issues on my 2 dds so hoping its the same this time.
Strangely my sleeping has got much better the last few nights (hope I haven't jinxed it!) Gone from the months of insomnia 3-5AMish to getting a good nights sleep with a few toilet trips but am able to go straight back to sleep. Perhaps baby has changed position or just maybe my body realises that it needs to get the sleep in while it can.0 -

Anybody with children already.... - are you buying your children a present off the baby??? Im looking for ideas! x
I'm planning to get my 3 year old a toy baby with toy versions of the things I'll be using. Not really looked into it properly yet but the idea is he can bath his baby while I bath the real one etc!
Congratulations on all the new arrivals - hope you are all doing well.
Lol at your OH saying how tired he is Samtoby, I think my OH would sympathise! He used to complain that I woke him to swap sides of the bed (as I was feeding lying down & didn't want baby in the middle). He changed his mind once I suggested he find somewhere else to sleep!!0
