I have a sweep booked on Friday to encourage him to get moving for a VBAC, though. Not had one before.
oooh how exciting! well.....as exciting as an intimate examination can be lol!
I keep getting sharp pains in my cervix and my lower back hurts quite a bit too - I think it just must be because we're all so near our due dates that we're all getting aches and pains.
I'm just taking the view that it'll happen when it happens, and when it does I'll know - if that makes sense?0 -
Sorry i haven't read back, William James was born on Tuesday 29th April at 19.12 weighing 5lb 12 oz. He was 36+1 following induction due to low amniotic fluid. The birth was fantastic, I really recommend the Lazy Daisy classes, I used rotation and breathing techniques, 4 co-codamol and then gas and air for 1hr before he arrived. I have a small internal care but needed no attention or painkillers and was fit and walking about immediately. However William was taken to neo-natal for two days due to low blood sugar and then treated for 2 days for jaundice. We arrived home last night but his blood tests are still not good, we will be checking again tomo, it may just be prematurity or there may be a problem with his liver. We had a terrible experience in hospital, the staff were fantastic but completely overstretched. He's a great baby, and we're so lucky that the ICSI worked and that with all the complications he is so healthy. I will post my birth story when all calms down, sorry for queue jumping!! xx0

Lol! I know what you mean, hoping something will happen.
Isaac was born on sister #2's birthday in 2005, in late June (her 21st, as well) and 9th May, this Friday, is sister #1's birthday. Might go for the double!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
hello vseviour! Sorry to hear that there were complications but so glad that lovely William is all ok and that you managed the labour well.
I hope his blood tests come back with good results - wishing you, OH and William all the best x
NDG you should totally try to upstage another sister again lol! I take it you and OH will be having curry for tea then BD'ing on thursday night then eh? :rotfl:
Dylan's birthday is May 30th. I'm actually wondering if she'll come on May 16th and then they'll be exactly 2 weeks apart, which is the same for me and my brother (we're 30 December and 13 January respectively. This would also mean that we can to the Prince gig pmsl!0 -
38 weeks today and number 7 on the list
I dont have any appointments now until 23rd May when I'll be 2 days late, that does slightly worry me.
If baby arrives before then I have no check ups left!
Im still working, last day is this Friday, although I may have to come in next week as my temporary cover starts this Friday so it wont be much of a handover.
I was looking forward to actually resting before baby arrives but its not looking like it now! xx0 -

The moment sister #2 found out Isaac was due 5 days before her birthday she said she didn't want to share it with someone younger and cuter who'd get all the attention - which turned out to be her tough luck!
Sister #1 quite likes the idea, though, so she wouldn't be annoyed. And sister #2 has, nearly 9 years later, got over it lol. My Dad's positively encouraging it, he reckons fewer dates to forget makes his life easier!
Speaking of what Vicky said earlier about enquiries, my Dad just rang "to see how you are" following a text from my darling Mama about 15 minutes before asking the same thing.... You'd think they suspect we might forget to tell them we've had a baby, which is relatively improbable, especially as my Mama's poised to come and stay in our flat to look after Isaac when required....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Congratulations Vseviour! Hope all blood test results are good xx Glad the birth went smoothly.
ChelseaBlue - you are still working! I honestly don't know how I could have fitted everything in - haven't stopped for the 3 weeks Ive been at home...Now Im approaching 37 weeks its very real as had DD1 at 38 weeks.
VickyViks - Im not getting any pain/cramps but my stomach is 'tensing' a lot and it does take my breath away sometimes, cant really explain it! (I have never had a show until Im in established labour and gave birth within a couple of hours)
Anybody with children already.... - are you buying your children a present off the baby??? Im looking for ideas! x0 -
