I feel very emotional today - tearful about everything and nothing! I hope that's not a sign of imminent labour, because I've been making a mess (in the interests of tidying up).
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Robots I'm glad you feel a bit better - you have a chance to break the cycle with your little girl - make sure you do!

congrats on the bargains too - I always get a buzz when I get a bargain!

Scotsbride Welcome and congratulations! Sorry to hear about your grandmother :( I don't know why people think it's ok to treat others so nastily. I really hope that you're able to get some distance between you and that you're able to enjoy your pregnancy - do you know whether you're having a blue or a pink?!

NDG we're in the final throws now so it's understandable that you're a bit all over the place. Have you considered watching a soppy film to help cry it out? (with some ice cream of course :))

I've been a right grumpasauras rex the last few days. My OH is being really nice and keeps asking me if I'm ok and if I need anything, but even though he's being so lovely I'm finding it really annoying, then I feel bad which makes me even more grumpy lol! it's so illogical!

Samtoby was it you who mentioned "dampness" down there? I've been a bit leaky today and she's not moving as much - wonder if she's planning to make an appearance soon?!

    Can't believe I'm number 4!
  • Sounds as though you've got loads of bargains there robots! I've still not even started buying anything for this baby, suppose I better get a move on as she'll be here in 9 and a half weeks at the latest. We do have most of the essentials from having DS though and live near a 24 hour supermarket.

NDG hope everything goes well for you if getting emotional is a sign of imminent labour! On the plus side, if he does come early at least his head should be smaller than if you go overdue.

AFM, looks like I jinxed myself by saying the metformin was working. Made the mistake of going to the pub for dinner and I ordered a mixed grill, asked them to swap the chips for new potatoes in an attempt to be healthy, which they did, but I think some the food must have been deep fried because my blood sugar has gone sky high again, so annoyed with myself, as I'm supposed to eat little and often not a massive giant plate of food!
The hospital are ringing me once a week now, and tomorrow is the day, I'm currently on half the maximum dose of metformin and the side effects seem to have subsided and I've been feeling better in myself, so maybe I'll just be told to increase the dose. I'm feeeling a bit upset because I know any excess sugar goes to the baby and makes her tummy grow and I'm feeling guilty. Needless to say I won't be having a mixed grill again until after she arrives.

Ditto here. OH has been lovely, and I'm being a royal pain in the backside.

I'm going to try to de-mess a bit, pulling stuff out to sort it has made our living room look like a bombsite!

    Babycentre:
In pre-labour or early labour (the latent phase), you may have:
    - Persistent lower back pain or abdominal pain, with a pre-menstrual feeling and cramps.
    - Painful contractions that occur at regular and increasingly shorter intervals, and become longer and stronger in intensity.
    - Broken waters. Your membranes may rupture with a gush or a trickle of amniotic fluid. Either way, call your maternity unit to let them know.
    - A brownish or blood-tinged mucus discharge (bloody show). If you pass the mucus plug that blocks the cervix, labour could be imminent, or it could be several days away. It's a sign that things are moving along.
    - An upset tummy or loose bowels.
    - A period of feeling very emotional or moody.
    - Disrupted sleep.

You are in the top 5, so you never know! xxx

I don't think I am about to go into labour, just a wobbly day, really!

Hope you can get your blood sugars sorted, and don't feel guilty <hugs>

Well you might as well make the most of the pregnancy excuse to be grumpy while you still can lol!

as for the mess, sometimes it has to get worse before it can get better! I cleared out my wardrobe today (there was stuff in there I haven't worn since I was a teenager:eek:) and there were clothes everywhere: a pile to go to this friend, a pile to go to that friend, a pile to ebay and a pile to go back in the wardrobe!

hope you feel better soon NDG, we've shared so much of this journey together I'm almost glad we're seeing out our pregnancies as grumpy messy cows pmsl! xxx

I'm sure I will - but I don't need to be pregnant to be messy, I always struggle to be organised and tidy! At home, anyway, work is much easier to be efficient, don't know why.

it's probably the structure of being in chambers that keeps you effiecient. at home you're probably so tired from being on your feet all day (and probably doing work at home too) that it's easy to let it go to pot.

one of my friends has suggested that my hind waters may have broken as I'm so leaky - has anyone heard of this? I can't believe that I have been through two whole pregnancies and still be learning new things about pregnancy!

    ....
    Can't believe I'm number 4!

Issues with my mum come & go... sadly they never seem to resolve.

I'm very chuffed with the bargains. Esp the muslins, as even on eBay they aren't that cheap. My Contribution JSA runs out shortly & I haven't yet heard if I do qualify for MA, so making the pennies stretch is good.

... You said ages, months, ago that you thought I was having a girl! :rotfl: I still don't know myself! I did buy a very cute dress for 50p yesterday... So depending on which baby turns out to be, it'll either be adorable or I'll sell it to a local to me children's shop for a few pounds profit!

Wow! number 4! How did that happen? How are you feeling now? I hope still excited to meet your little girl? You sound like that wobble in confidence is very much behind you. :)

I Desperatly need to sort my wardrobe out (well, floor-drobe might be more accurate :o ). I need to have one of the bedroom windows replaced so need to call in workmen, but as it is they couldn't get to it (narrow space down side of bed now somehow occupied with winter jumpers etc). Under the bed is stuff I too haven't worn since I was a teenager, so I should also rotate & give away/sell on etc.
