Thanks for doing the lists samtoby, much appreciated.
I'm having lots of strange goings ons as well, I can't figure out what she is up to in there-lots of bouncing about and a grinding sensation as well as a really uncomfortable pelvic pressure. I've had a few almost painful tightenings over the last few days. Looking forward to another almost 7 weeks of discomfort! This little lady is certainly keeping me on my toes already!0 -
I've been told no hoovering or lifting stuff heavier than the baby for 4-6 weeks so DH is my slave
Sounds like good general advice to me!
My Mama lent me a book my Granny had in the late 1940s, which advised packing away your silver and china ornaments so you didn't need to be polishing and dusting too much after the baby was born......
I've never, ever allowed silver polishing or china dusting to interfere with anything in my life (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Ndg yes it should have said "same"! I'm on a tablet so words sometimes come out wrong as the tablet is very keen on predictive text!
Samtoby it sounds like you're making great progress with your work, referencing is so time consuming though, are you doing it as you go along? I found thst was the best way to keep on top of it when I did my dissertation x0 -
Sam it's funny you mention about waters popping.
I was paranoid about this because of reading stories where people said they heard a pop, & from weeks 37-39 I would sometimes hear a small pop and think is this it?! But no was probably just my stomach/wind.
When they did go - and they gushed everywhere, thank goodness it was at night at home & not earlier in the day when I'd been walking round Aldi & m&s!! I heard nothing!0 -
claire16c - I am glad its not just me. Waters gushed with DS so I should keep remembering that.
35 weeks today arggghhhhh :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
marywooyeah - referencing I am on now for the first section I have written mainly because I knew exactly what I wanted to say and it will be relitivley easy to back it up - its the next section which I am dreading. DS is going to the allotment with my Mum for the morning so I am going to try and get to 1,000 words with referencing this morning and then leave it for today and do some more tomorrow.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Apologies for the radio silence... Following my hind waters breaking on my due date I was induced and Ezio was born by emergency section on 7th April weighing 6lbs 13oz.
It's been a rollercoaster of a week with recovery taking it's sweet time plus I was almost readmitted last night due to chest issues. He's absolutely fine and of course gorgeous - worth all the trama.
May do a birth story when I have more energy but sorry for hogging a bold spot for ages!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
Congratulations Eiteews! Sorry you ended up having an emergency c-section. Hope you recover quickly. I had one with DS. Make sure you take it easy and don't overdo it the first few weeks!0

Congratulations! Hope you're both well and happy....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Congratulations Eiteews on you bundle of joy. Sorry you had a c-section but glad you are both doing well. xx
I've been getting plenty of feelings 'down there'. They are quite sharp and come and go quite suddenly. Sometimes I do wish I could have another scan at these moments so that I could see what she is doing in there!
Today has been a bit of an easy day. Woke up late, nipped to Specsavers to pick up my new glasses and then pretty much watched DH move boxes of random stuff we haven't used in yonks from the office/spare room to the garage. DH is a bit huffy about losing half of his office to the spare bed but as I keep reminding him he will be very thankful for it when he is up early to travel to London for client meetings and LO is keeping him awake. I'm fully armed with 'I told you so" for when the time comes lol. Finally feels like the house is coming together and we are getting some organisation, which is amazing with only four and a half weeks left until the due date. I have no idea where all the time has gone!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and enjoying the sunshine xx0
