Hi everyone, congratulations to all the new mummies & babies, & dads!
I'm now feeling much much better.... Better than I have in a long time, so we decided to have a last minute getaway to the North Yorkshire Coast, which was lovely. It did us both the world of good.
Thankyou for the well wishes xx
I've spoken with my doctor, so understand better what happened. They can't say 100% as appendix is hard to diagnose even if not pregnant! but it looks like baby kicked my appendix alerting me early to a problem. Blood tests showed bacterial infection & inflammation somewhere. So IV drugs combatted it and I was let home on tablets. Phew! It's rare appendicitis is caught early enough for drugs to work (usually it's straight to surgery), so I feel very lucky. Well done baby! Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I seem to have made it back onto the due date list. I had my little girl, Sophia on 8th April. She's adorable and we're settling in well.
Congratulations to all the other new mummies. And hope the boldies are getting baby cuddles very soon.0 -

Congratulations Laura!
Thanks Samtoby, it was quite a restful wknd... Nice tea in caf!s, sitting watching waves...
I was lucky to get a lastminute place on a Lazy Daisy birthing class... Starting tomorrow! I cant recall where I heard about them. It's 6 weeks, £40, which lets me spend the petrol to get there! Apparently 1 of the ladies on OneBorn tonight did the class... But I'm not sure which!
Edit: the teacher has confirmed my suspicions.. It Was the lady with the water birth... Who was so calm I didn't realise baby was literally about to crown! Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -

Congratulations! Have you chosen a name yet?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
