I was thinking that Lara, I'm 30 weeks today and I'm in the 30's! haha. I can't imagine how I'll feel when I'm in the top ten, eek. the baby's room is just a shell with no carpet and freshly plastered walls, hopefully we can do it this weekend then I'll feel a bit more prepared.
welcome pommeverte, I get that pain sometimes under my
ribs but sorry I don't have any tips to get rid of it
a lot of things in pregnancy I think women just put up with don't they?! last night I was so uncomfortable I had backache, PGP pain and heartburn plus I couldn't breathe properly because of my cold and I thought bleurgh, isn't pregnancy glamorous! good job she'll be worth it

35 weeks today :-O still not packed my hospital bag0 -
this is a bit of a silly question but iv only had my own house for a year and I'm not very house trained

I was gonna wash some of baby's clothes today and hang them out to dry but what kind of wash do I do it on?! I don't really know how to use my washing machine properly (it came with the house) so I just wash everything on a fast wash! iv looked thinking there might be an option for delicates for the baby clothes but there isn't! also can I wash white and pink together or do whites have to be totally separate? argh! iv just got this vision of ruining all my brand new clothes! iv got some fairy non bio washing stuff and also fairy non bio fabric conditioner so I can use them can't i?0 -
I'm sure I read somewhere not to use fabric conditioners..?0

Hi ladies. Hope you're all doing well. Congratulations on all the recent births, so exciting!
Big hugs chelseablue sorry for your loss.
My thoughts are with your friend abetterlife how scary. Hope all works out ok.
Glad you're alright Robots lucky that baby alerted you early!
Firey I think it's ok to just use a normal wash cycle as long as you use non-bio. You can get special sensitive fabric softeners which I think are ok for baby but prob not necessary.
AFM, I just got home to a letter from the hospital inviting me to take part in a study offering early induction of labour as older women "such as myself" are less fit and able to carry a pregnancy beyond 39 weeks and early induction may be safer for me and baby. I'm actually quite cross and insulted that they would offer unnecessary intervention to healthy women with normal low risk pregnancies. I'm hardly inferm - I'll turn35 8 weeks before my due date and I'm very fit and active still.
Sorry for the rant. Hormones seem to be making me mad today. Makes a change from teary!

NDG - congrats to your OH too for a successful marathon run, hope he has been resting up and feeling great.
OH has many talents, but resting isn't one of them. He and Isaac flew to Israel the evening of the marathon for Passover, and are touring relatives and friends until Sunday, when they arrive in Kent for Easter with my parents and siblings after another night flight.
Mad as a bag of cats (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I'm an "elderly" pregnant woman too wang - I turned 36 a fortnight ago.
Looking on the bright side, they've upped the age. My mother was described as "elderly" with her second child, as she'd turned 30........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
