Robotsindisguise, just wanted to say I've now finished the Lazy Daisy term and it was sooo good. I feel really prepared. You could see that the girl on OBEM was following the techniques, but I'd still recommend the couples workshop - apparently the girl's teacher wasn't offering them at the time which is why the dad was a bit useless at the start! x

Just a quick question to try and calm the nagging voice inside my head. How many newborn outfits do you have? I originally only brought a couple baby grows and vests, thinking that we could always just put her in the 0-3 if needed. Now though I am starting to wonder if this was the right decision. Do I need more newborn clothes? I really wish I knew exactly the size she is going to be!!

Vicky - I thought we had loads of long sleeve body suits and vests in newborn and I was super worried but we've been through them all several times already - I've been washing every day. He's swamped by Mothercare's newborn still even now, he'd look daft in 0-3 months! He was just under 7lbs, it is annoying though because you can't predict it. One thing we do seem to have too many of is sleepsuits - I've only used 3 so far.

Infinite muslins - seems to be the way to go too.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Hello can i join you please ? I'm 27+5 with baby#1. Due 16th July 2014 ! Shall i add myself to the list or is someone in charge of it like on the ttc thread?!

I've started to get a dull "bloated" sort of pain beneath my ribs, i assume it's the uterus pushing everything up. And having to sit at the computer all day working on my uni work isnt helping ! Anyone else has this problem ? I only feel good when i'm lying down, which obviously i can't do 24/7 :( massaging the area seems to help, as well as not wearing a bra. But if i have to leave the house i'm gonna have to put a bra on ! Ah dreading it !

Hope you're all well, Pomme :)

Oh no sorry to hear that chelseablue, thoughts are with you, OH and his family. So sad...

Welcome PommeVerte! Samtoby will add you when she does the list next... are you team pink, blue or yellow?

Am off work this week, we took a trip out to Dunham Massey today (used my brother and his girlfriends membership cards to get in free, very MSE lol). We did walk around quite a bit, I was shattered after a couple of hours, then I seemed to get a nerve pain shooting up and down my leg and backside so had a slow stroll back to the car. Feet are up now!

Coronation Street tour tomorrow, might pop into Primarni and see if they have any bags appropriate for a hospital bag, I guess at 31+2 I should at least start thinking about it!

I needed precisely no newborn clothes when Isaac was born - although he was an average weight for a white boy newborn (8lb) he was long and thin and they didn't fit him. It doesn't matter if they are a bit big, after all, anyway. So don't overdo it!

You can always send DH out to mothercare if necessary (-:

Huge congrats ABetterLife, Eiteews, and Lulu on the birth of your babies :j

NDG - congrats to your OH too for a successful marathon run, hope he has been resting up and feeling great.

Chelsea, so sorry to read about your FIL. I hope you're all doing okay. Big hugs.

Well done baby Robots for alerting you early to a nasty infection! Hope you're resting up and recovering well.

    Welcome PommeVerte :)

I was 30 weeks yesterday and now in the top 30 on the list. Hooray! It feels like the final stretch now.

  • Congratulations ABetterLife what a lovely name and sending my thoughts to your friend xx

Sorry to hear about the loss of your FIL ChelseaBlue xx

Sunshine81 I had the same thing yesterday after spending the day in town so obviously too much walking and not enough resting lol Still a bit achy this morning :-(

    Welcome PommeVerte :-)

AFM Had a scan yesterday to see if my placenta had moved and thankfully it has and was nice to see 'Bob' again.
I've got my 34 week appointment with the midwife later this morning as well.
I'm really not sleeping very well at night not so much because of toilet trips as they only happen a couple of times but mostly due to cramp and back ache - I'm so so pleased to be pregnant but can't wait until I can lay on my belly again lol

Hope everyone has a good day and is enjoying the sunshine :-)
