Eiteews congratulations! I hope you're both doing well. What a lovely name, are you and oh both big assassin's creed fans?

Sam toby if you get into the habit of footnoting and doing your references as you go along you'll be fine but don't just leave it. I knew people who did tgeir entire dissertations then went back to reference them and they really regretted it!

We may be having a hospital visit tonight. We went to a country park and after about a mile I got a bad pain all down my right side. I sat down for a bit but it got worse so we headed back but I had to keep stopping, it feels like a big stitch but it's not really going down. I've called the out of hours and they just said to take painkillers and if it gets worse then go to hospital so just waiting to see if it gets better now, I hope it does!

Hi ladies, just to let you know baby Joseph was born on Tue morning via forceps. My waters broke around midnight, 30 mins later at the hospital I was already 7 cm dilated! I tried the pool with gas and air but couldn't cope after a while and had an epidural. They were concerned about his heart rate and talked about a c section but went with forceps in the end.
We stayed in for 2 nights as he wasn't feeding well. It's still a bit of a struggle but he's doing fine. I am very sore but he is gorgeous and well worth it!

Thanks marywooyeah - not big but fans. It was more we wanted something unusual but as short as possible because we have a long surname.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes... I'll be lurking to see how you all get on once we've got ourselves sorted. :)

    Congratulations lulu75 welcome to Joseph!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

    Hi everyone,

Not posted for a while so just want to say congratulations to all the new mummies with their babies and hope your all doing well :-) xx

It was my last day at work on Friday and I can't believe I won't be going back until May 2015!!!

Has anyone else not bothered with antenatal classes? They do them at my hospital but I just kept thinking 'oh I'll enquire about them next week' and before you know it I'm nearly 34 weeks lol

Congrats eiteews and lulu75 on your babies!

Aww clare1angel enjoy mat leave, lucky you getting so much time off! I finish on the 15th May (I'll be nearly 35+4) and will probably end up going back end of Jan or end of Feb :( I should be grateful for that much leave, and I am, but I also know I'm an emotional s0d and won't want to leave lil HB for work!

31 weeks today.... been at work this morning, then spent the afternoon writing out a 'supporting information' section for a friend who wants to apply for a job (she's going to pay me and I need any cash I can get hold of lol). Just chilling now, and looking forward to this week off work!

Hope you're all having a good weekend xx

My OH completed the London Marathon in 4.5 hours, and has now left, with Isaac, for Israel for Passover tomorrow. I'm exhausted - watching marathons is tiring, you know... (as I didn't say to OH, obviously)

Blimey, that's ages! Do you get maternity pay for the whole year?

Thanks sunshine but I keep thinking of all the things I need to do before baby comes but will try and rest as well lol

Hi ndg the first 6 weeks are annual leave and my maternity leave starts end of May. I work for the NHS so after working out finances with other half decided the full year off was doable - I don't get any pay for the last 3 months.
I know I'm very lucky to be able to take the whole year just hope it doesn't go by too quickly!

Aww I'm doing similar, I work for the NHS too. 3 weeks leave then start mat leave 8th June. Depending on money at the time, I'll probably end mat leave 1/2 months into the SMP only period, then use my last 3 weeks annual leave before going back.

Aww ndg well done to your OH on a great marathon time! x
