RobotsinDisguse wrote: »Congratulations Claire!
I had a big emotional wobble on Thursday, great days on Friday (fun) & Sat (productive), but came over feeling very odd about 5 yesterday... Which lasted about 24hrs... During which time I rotated between backache, restless, sleepy, restless legs, belly ache and feeling dizzy.... And now, compared to 48, even 24 hrs ago, my bump is higher, very firm in places & seems to stick out more. Odd.
Oh, and on Saturday night I was told by 2 friends that my bump was "very neat", "nicely contained", and "smaller than they thought it would be by now". I wonder if they'd see the difference now that I can?!
Hope you're feeling okay again
My bump also changes shape and position from day to day, I have felt huge, but after seeing other ladies due around the same time as me I feel quite neat.
Today I had my glucose tolerance test and have been diagnosed with gestation diabetesFeeling sorry for myself this evening.
The list is fairly moving just now  Thanks for keeping on top of it Samtoby0 -

Having irregular tightenings, more regularly than the last few days but still irregular, and period pains but not developing in to anything yet :-( hurry up little lush!
Sounds close though Lush, that's exactly how mine started and a couple of days later, there she was....!0 -

I've to monitor my blood glucose level, hopefully I will be able to control it with my diet. I'm back today to see a consultant and a dietician, so I should know more then.0 -
Lush - I'm due on the 29th and there are absolutely no signs that baby is coming. If you find anything that works let me know! I'm not seeing the midwife until next Thursday when I'll be 40+5, I'm hoping I'll be offered a sweep then. I don't want an induction because I want to use the birth pool, plus I've heard a high percentage end in emergency section which is a scary thought. I'm trying positive thinking tho - baby has been told its time to come out!
Mrshappy - sorry to hear about the diabetes, hopefully it won't cause too much stress and at least they know about it so they can manage it x0 -
Hope you're feeling okay again

Thanks MrsH, it was very odd (baby growth spurt?) but bump seems to have settled down again for now.
Sorry to hear you have gestational diabetes, It must be better to know. Did you have the 2 hr test? Did they tell you right away?
Sorry for all the questions! I had mine a couple of weeks ago, made me ill, but I haven't heard anything since. Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
Sorry to hear that MrsH, hope it will be controllable by diet and not impact on your everyday life too much. (((Hugs)))
Got the busiest week happening this weekNext Monday I will face my two examiners to decide whether I get my PhD and the nerves are starting to kick in big time. Before then there's a website to build, web text to write, a job application to do, a workshop to organise, and I've got to read the thesis and prep for possible questions. I feel like going to bed just thinking about it let alone having to actually do any of it
Still, this is the peak of stress and at least it's downhill from there until the baby comes in June.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Good luck with the viva, Lara. Keep in mind that you know far more about your topic than they doMortgage when started: £330,995

I feel the same but I am in the first year at Uni. All essays have to be in by the 12th May 2014, I am due on the 18th May 2014. I am trying my hardest but Uni hasn't come easy to me and it takes me ages to write anything
I do hope it all goes well for you, just take it 1 step at a time, that is the only way sometimes, easier said than done though. xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
