Clairec - what lovely news to wake up to. Hope you and your baby girl are having lots of cuddles.

Lush although we don't have the nappy bin agree that with ds very few nappies got changed upstairs, most were on a change mat in the living room.

Samtoby - there is another faith2009uk on the list at about #41 is that correct

Thanks for the feedback on nappy wrappers - we live in a little bungalow (literally just 5 rooms, a couple of cupboards and the hall) and all nappies will be being changed in the nursery as its where everything will be kept and there's no room anywhere else and we won't be changing her on the floor as the doglet sticks his nose in (pretty literally!) Which is why we got the changer unit...think we will leave it a while longer and maybe see how we get on at first :-)

I was so uncomfortable last night, that sort of pre-period niggley ache and nothing would shift it :-( tried bouncing on the ball, no relief, laying down made it worse! Then when we went to bed the second I lay down I felt sick. Not something I appreciated as I was exhausted!

We spent a lot of yesterday out and about, lots of walking and I could feel she was quite low as I could feel it inside the tops of my legs :-) also got treated to a lovely meal out and a meal of my choice last night!

Really hoping baby girl starts moving before our Friday due date, the longer she waits the less time bf gets with her (and me as a new family) before he's next away and risks GB camp eating in to his paternity leave :(

Mil is keeping me busy today, lots of walking around various places getting her bits together for their holiday in May, youngest son has now moved back in with them so lots to sort out there, visiting a relative in a care home (I haven't seen her for a while and she has dementia so don't think she will recognise me :( ) and a meal out with bf's grandparents! Really hope baby gets annoyed at not being allowed to get too comfy and so decides to appear...hopefully by making it more and more awkward for me to go in to labour she will decide to interrupt us ;)

Baby Michael was born 18/03 at 04:18 weighing 6lb. A few complications led to him being distressed so he went to neo natal but is now doing brilliant and we hope to have him home the next few days, im totally in love with him and its hard not having him here but hopefully not for much longer
  • Congratulations claire and conn. Sorry to hear you both had complications and hope that you're home soon with your babies.

Congratulations Claire! Love the name, very close to our top choice!

Congratulations Con! Glad Michael is ok, hopefully you'll all be home soon.

The list is moving quickly! Have to say after a week of matenity leave I'm feeling ready for little one to arrive. I'm so glad I didn't finish work any sooner. Today I'll be going for a long walk and bouncing around lots on my ball!

    Congrats Claire and Con!

Claire - your story is so similar to another lady who had her baby this week... I can't remember who tho. She reached 8cm then had to have an emergency c-section too. To begin with I thought you were quoting her post!

Congratulations Claire and con - hopefully you'll all be home together soon :)

I think that'll take me into the top 10 eek! I had a tour of our Midwife Led Unit here the other day and have now booked in - I'm still a little worried about being further from the labour ward but the local unit is less than 5 minutes away and so serene and the city one is a bit like a cattle market. Shame the transfer is 30 minutes.

I'm feeling more ready now - want to get it over with and meet him.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
