sophiasmum - sorry to hear of your redundancy - always comes at odd times!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
Happily Married since 20160 -
its just strange - as they are the only employer Ive really worked for! (Hence the good package) Don't really know anything else.... Ill start looking when baby 6 months knowing realistically it could take a few months to find something, though I wont be able to afford to be picky. I don't think Ill find something equitable in terms of hours/pay - so need to be prepared to take a pay decrease. Going to use my maternity leave to prepare for some major down shifting!!0

not long back from our 39wk appointment - all is well apart from I was right a day or so ago when I said I thought bubs was trying to turn round a bit, everyone said I was crazy but I was right; she has turned to the side slightly and still isn't engaging enough to stay put so that's why I feel her engage for a bit and have some tightenings then nothing
Have been instructed to walk plenty and bounce of a ball so bf and I have been and picked up a small gym ball which I am now sat on bouncing gently. It's only a small one but I'm sure it will do the job.
Hopefully everything works together and we get her moving asap...if not I'm booked for a sweep next Friday (and the Wednesday after just in case) so fingers crossed the latest she will arrive is a week tomorrow************************************

Lush I swear my baby has been doing the same, I'm sure sometimes she moves a bit sideways.
My sweep is next weds really hope it happens before then!0 -
Lush great to hear the baby has turned!
Me and my friend took our kids to see Disney on Ice tonight. It was really good until we got back to the car park and had a £100 parking ticket! we read the sign as "after 6pm £1" when it actually said "after 6pm £1ph". I'm gutted, particularly as I'm a lawyer so am usually pretty good at reading things correctly!
I've posted on the parking board, but feel like a right mug! I blame baby brain....0 -
Been having contractions for about a week, but not really regular. Hope she's coming soon though xNew single Mum & student Nurse working for our future.

Sending soothing labour-getting-in-right-position vibes to lush and claireWe are doing something similar as DS is so excited/worried about having a sister and not being first to see her. It's very important to me and OH that he is first to see her.
My Mum is having DS so it will be a big rush to get that sorted whenever it may be.
DS was three weeks early but I know that is no indication that this baby will be early too. As long as she gets here safely she can come when ever she likes but I have to admit I am not keen on the idea of being induced.
Same for us - my parents suggested having Isaac to stay with them for a few days. Normally he'd be delighted, because he loves staying with my parents - ponds to drown in, horses to get kicked by, trees to fall out of, mud to get covered in, 8 year old boy heaven. But it's important to him that he sees the baby ASAP, and we don't want him to feel left out at all, so my mother's going to come here instead.Thats what I hope for - DS going to bed and waking up to the news!
Sounds great - but I'm not altogether sure that our babies are listening and prepared to co-operate lolmarywooyeah wrote: »Lush great to hear the baby has turned!

Sorry to hear that - we got a £100 ticket a few years ago when OH parked in a cash and flash area of the road instead of a residents' parking one. He's a lawyer too, and didn't even have a pregnancy to blame!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
On one of the other pgcy threads here (already forgot which), someone posted a link to a weight gain graph... I'm nearly 25wks, still 4-6 lbs lower than when I got pregnant... The graph (for my high BMI range) says I should be 5-11 UP from pre-pgcy weight!
Wonder if I should be worried?
Edit- gee, I've lost a week! I'm 25+6  today apparently according to here: http://pregnancy.familyeducation.com/third-trimester/25-weeks-6-days.html
Can I blame the dog? And all that worrying / taking care of & taking to the vetanary hospital? Oh, and her bandage came off today ( looked like a sanitary towel!z), and she looks to be healing nicely from her operation. Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I'm nearly 33 weeks, and still a touch under my pre-pregnancy weight. No-one seems terribly bothered. Might be more a problem if you were underweight to start with? (I certainly wasn't)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Thanks NeverDespair! I'll listen to you instead of the worried voice in my head! And many thanks for such a speedy reply... It will help me sleep... And wow do I need that.
The dog needs letting out a few times a night due to her op, (it'll improve soon enough as her bladder regrows), and OH Does Not hear her! So I'm getting up lots, and having trouble getting back to sleep, either coz I'm wide awake or coz my boobs are hurting from the cold! Only benefit was I didn't get the night sweats last night due to being awake from 5am.
Humm, perhaps this is sleep deprivation practice for when the little one is here? Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0
