I'm having a netflix day here too, started watching The Killing yesterday.
Should be another warm and sunny day so might try to go for a walk later.
I get hot at night too, I opened the window or put the fan on, poor DH said he was freezing! It's normally the other way around.0 -
Hello,
First day of working from home one day a week until I finish on 17 April, parentcraft classes start today, going with a fairly open mind, but not sure what to expect...
Next week is a two day at home week as have my second visit to the consultant and diabetic MW for my GD, quite looking forward to seeing if baby has grown any bigger or not... Getting a little fed up of being asked constantly what I'm having, always chirpy with my reply 'a baby' we don't want to know, only that mini-M is healthy.
These handover notes aren't getting written - I'm already at 21 pages, but need to ensure that they cover all eventualities whilst I'm on leave, as I know what my academics are like, and they are really concerned that things won't happen as they have always done (I've been in post for just under six years, so everything generally just happens!)0 -
Can I join this club, folks?
My wife and I are expecting our second child at the end of the summer. We already have a daughter who will be 2 in August.
We had our 20-week scan on Friday there and during the scan the sonographer noticed an amniotic band. It doesn't seem to be affecting the baby at present, but we haven't really been given any information about it - we have a fortnight to wait on our consultancy appointment and, to be honest, we are bricking it. We've tried to avoid looking stuff up on Dr Google but the stories we have heard is that if the baby gets tangled in the band then it can constrict blood flow, leading to underdeveloped limbs. This is of course presented as the worst-casse scenario.
While this wouldn't stop our love for the child, it breaks my heart wondering what quality of life a baby would have.
Does anyone have any experience of this condition that could maybe reassure me at all?
Thanks."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... Hi Gaz, welcome to the thread. I know how worrying waiting in scan results can be. I'm sorry I don't know any more than you. I'm sure someone will come along soon who can help. We are all here for support though.
Thanks ladies for the reassurance that night sweats are common! But yugh I'm getting suck of them.
Becsxxx - I did in early pregnancy, I hear it's quite common sadly.
I'm sitting here being kicked a lot... To think 3 weeks ago I was worried!
Had job centre today, lady was actually sympathetic & sorry for me that there's little chance anyone would hire me now. Ah well. I'm glad their hard reputation isn't the reality for me.Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -

I am seriously depressed and drowning in life in general. I haven't mentioned on here before but I am going through private childcare proceedings with the father of DS which is very complicated.
Work as in employment is up round my ears.
I am drowning in Uni work I spent days writing an essay when I have sent off for review and its all completly wrong.
My housework is coming out my ears I feel so dirty - OH works long hours and does his best and so does DS.
I am shattered I feel like I could sleep for a week.
Yesterday was such a great day and I was feeling really positive as it was my birthday and reflecting on the year - but today I have had an email from my tutor about my essay, letter from court for urgent directions this week, walked into a house that feels discusting and the list of things to do is endless.
I feel soI don't even understand where my essay has gone wrong and my tutor is so vague - court I can't help its the father thats taking me to court started all this just after I found out I was pregnant and everything else is just well. Life.

((hugs)) Samtoby - get hold of your tutor and get some more information - it's not fair of them to be vague about you doing badly especially on something you had put so much work into.
In terms of the house - there is a great website called unf*"% your habitat, which has fantastic advice. Basically set the timer for 20 minutes - blitz something you want clean for those 20 mins, then have a 10 minute break. For some reason you can get a lot more done in 20 minutes with the timer about to go off - I use this a lot.
Would you mind updating me to a pink symbol please? My 20 week scan last week looked more like a girl than a boy (although far from certain as the little monkey was keeping legs mainly closed!0
